從這四個角之中的一個又長出另一個角來，是小的，向南、向東、向華美之地漸漸成了非常強大。牠漸漸強大、高及天象，將些天象和星宿拋落地上，用腳踐踏。牠逕自擴大勢力，甚至自以為是天象之君，竟把不斷獻與天象之君的燔祭除掉，把天象之君的聖建築拋棄。有軍隊被遣派，以犯罪行為阻撓不斷獻之祭；牠將真理拋棄地上，任意而行，無不順利。我聽見有一位聖者在說話；又有一位聖者問那說話的聖者，說：『關於以下這些事的異象要延到幾時呢？關於這不斷獻的燔祭之被除掉和那使地荒涼的罪過行為、以及將聖所和拜神儀節任意踐踏的事；要延到幾時呢？他對他說：『要延到二千三百個暮暮朝朝，然後聖所才能正宗化過來。』

『那王必任意而行，自高自大超過所有的神，又說了荒謬怪誕的話來攻擊萬神之神上帝。他倒會亨通順利，直到上帝的震怒發盡；因為鐵定的事必定作成。
