and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.

He will help you who are troubled. And he will also help us. All these things will happen when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come in blazing fire. He will come with his powerful angels.

Then I heard a voice from heaven say,“ Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

‘ He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them:“ See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy onesto judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.“ As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

“ It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

“ Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and“ every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth“ will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

while we wait for the blessed hope— the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

But he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The angel said to me,“ These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I answered,“ Sir, you know.” And he said,“ These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore,“ they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.‘ Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat.For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;‘ he will lead them to springs of living water.’‘ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

He then added,“ Very truly I tell you, you will see‘ heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”

“ I am,” said Jesus.“ And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;

“ Men of Galilee,” they said,“ why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

Now if we are children, then we are heirs— heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand— with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

“ You have said so,” Jesus replied.“ But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

“ But Abraham replied,‘ Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
