He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

Then he placed several army garrisons in Damascus, the Aramean capital, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and paid him tribute money. So the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

我在你所去的任何地方一直與你同在，並且從你面前剪除了你的一切仇敵。我將為你成就大名，如同世上那些偉人的名。

約拿單攻擊迦巴的非利士駐軍，非利士人聽說了這事。掃羅就在全地吹響號角，說：「要讓希伯來人聽見！」

約拿單對替他拿兵器的年輕人說：「走，我們過到未受割禮之人的守軍那裡吧！或許耶和華會為我們行事，因為無論人多人少，什麼也不能阻礙耶和華施行拯救。」

願所有投靠你的都歡喜，永遠歡呼；願你庇護他們，讓那些愛你名的人因你歡慶；耶和華啊，因為你必祝福義人，你用恩典如盾牌圍繞他！

耶和華保守你免受一切禍患，他保守你的靈魂。你出你入，耶和華都保守你，從今直到永遠！

他訓練我的手作戰，使我的膀臂能拉開銅弓。你把你救恩的盾牌賜給我，你的右手扶持我，你的謙卑使我為大。你使我腳下的路寬闊，我的腳踝也不顫抖。我追趕我的仇敵，並要追上他們；不滅絕他們，我絕不返回。我擊碎他們，使他們不能起來；他們都仆倒在我的腳下。你以能力裝備我作戰，又使起來敵對我的人屈服在我之下。你使我的仇敵在我面前轉身而逃，我把那些恨我的人除盡。他們呼救，卻沒有人拯救；他們向耶和華呼救，他也不回應。我搗碎他們，如同風前的塵土；我倒出他們，如同街上的爛泥。你救我脫離民眾的紛爭，立我作列國之首，連我不認識的民也服事我。他們風聞了我，就順從我；外邦人向我卑躬屈膝。外邦人聞風喪膽，戰戰兢兢地從他們的營寨中出來。耶和華永遠活著！我的磐石是當受頌讚的！願拯救我的神受尊崇！

馬為戰爭之日所預備，得勝卻在於耶和華。

有一天，掃羅的兒子約拿單對替他拿兵器的年輕人說：「走，我們過到對面非利士的守軍那裡吧！」他卻沒有把這事告訴他的父親。

於是，營地和郊外的所有軍兵，一片恐慌，守軍和突擊隊都戰兢，地也震動，這是從神而來的恐慌。

現在行動吧！因為耶和華論到大衛曾說：『我要藉著我僕人大衛的手，拯救我的子民以色列脫離非利士人的手和一切仇敵的手。』」

耶和華我的磐石是當受頌讚的！他訓練我的手爭戰；訓練我的指頭打仗。他是我慈愛的主，我的要塞、我的庇護所，我的救主、我的盾牌，是我所投靠的；他使我的子民降服在我之下。

主耶和華，我救恩的力量啊，在爭戰的日子裡，你遮護了我的頭！

他又擊敗摩押人，讓他們趴在地上用繩子量，每兩繩內的都處死，第三繩內的就存留；這樣摩押就臣服於大衛，向他進貢。

那時大衛在要塞中，而非利士人的駐軍在伯利恆。
