King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:

King David set those gifts apart for the Lord. He had done the same thing with the silver and gold he had taken from the other nations. Those were nations he had brought under his control.

這樣、所羅門王所作永恆主之殿的一切工就作完了。所羅門把他父親大衛分別為聖的東西、銀子金子和器皿、都帶了來，交在永恆主之殿的府庫中。

並且在你這裏也有許多作工的人；就是鑿石的人和石匠木匠、以及一切能作金銀銅鐵各樣工的巧匠、無法可數。起來作吧！願永恆主與你同在！』大衛又吩咐以色列眾首領幫助他兒子所羅門，說：

起來踹穀吧，錫安小姐啊！我必使你的角成為鐵的，使你的蹄成為銅的；你必粉碎許多別族之民，將他們搶掠之物獻與永恆主，將他們的資財獻與全地之主。

這些器皿大衛王也分別為聖獻與永恆主，連同他從列國所帶來的金銀，就是從以東、從摩押、從亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人那裏所帶來的、都分別為聖、獻與永恆主。

我為我的上帝的殿已盡了我的力量豫備金子作金器，銀子作銀器，銅作銅器，鐵作鐵器，木頭作木器；還有水蒼玉、可鑲嵌的光彩石、雜色石、各樣寶石、白玉石、很多。

這示羅密和他的弟兄管理分別為聖之物的一切府庫、就是大衛王和眾父系族長、千夫長、百夫長、軍長所分別為聖之物。他們將爭戰時所掠得的財物分別為聖，以備修理永恆主之殿的用處。先見撒母耳、基士的兒子掃羅、尼珥的兒子押尼珥、洗魯雅的兒子約押、所分別為聖之物——其實任何人所分別為聖的——都歸示羅密和他弟兄手下管理着。
