King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:

King David set those gifts apart for the Lord. He had done the same thing with the silver and gold he had taken from the other nations. Those were nations he had brought under his control.

These also King David dedicated to the Lord, together with the silver and gold that he dedicated from all the nations he subdued,

所羅門王完成耶和華殿的一切工作後，就把他父親大衛獻給耶和華的金銀和器具都搬進耶和華殿的庫房。

看啊，我歷盡艱辛，為耶和華的殿預備了三千四百五十噸金子、三萬四千五百噸銀子和不計其數的銅和鐵。我還預備了木料和石頭。你還要多加預備。你有許多工匠，如鑿石匠、砌石匠、木匠等各種能工巧匠，還有不計其數的金匠、銀匠、銅匠和鐵匠。現在動工吧，願耶和華與你同在。」

耶和華說：「錫安城啊，起來打穀吧！我要給你鐵角，我要給你銅蹄。你要打碎列國，將他們的不義之財獻給耶和華，把他們的財富獻給普天下的主。」

於是，大衛把這些器皿和他從以東、摩押、亞捫、非利士和亞瑪力各國奪來的金銀都分別出來，奉獻給耶和華。

我已竭盡所能為我上帝的殿預備了製作金器、銀器、銅器、鐵器和木器所需的金銀銅鐵及木頭，還有大量的瑪瑙、鑲嵌用的寶石、彩石、大理石及其他貴重的石頭。

示羅密及其親族負責管理庫房中的奉獻之物，這些物品是大衛王、眾族長、千夫長、百夫長和將領獻給上帝的聖物。他們把戰爭中擄掠的財物獻出來，以備建造耶和華的殿。撒母耳先見、基士的兒子掃羅、尼珥的兒子押尼珥、洗魯雅的兒子約押及其他人奉獻的聖物都由示羅密及其親族管理。
