I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.

摩西支起圣幕，装上带凹槽的底座，竖起木板，插上横闩，立起柱子，在圣幕上面搭起罩棚，铺上顶盖，都遵照耶和华的吩咐。

“如果你们仍然不肯听从我，继续与我作对，我也要与你们作对，向你们发烈怒，把比先前严厉七倍的惩罚加在你们身上。

耶和华回答他说：“我必亲自与你同去，使你平安稳妥。”摩西说：“你若不与我们同去，就不要让我们离开这里。

“如果你们还是与我作对，我也要与你们作对，用比先前严重七倍的灾难击打你们。

“你要写信告诉以弗所教会的天使，那位右手拿着七颗星、往来于七个金灯台中间的主说，

因为你们的上帝耶和华常在营中巡视，要保护你们，击败你们的仇敌。军营必须保持圣洁，免得祂在你们中间看到任何污秽之事，便离开你们。

从我把以色列人带出埃及那天起直到今天，我从未住过殿宇，都住在四处迁移的帐篷里。在我与以色列人同行的日子，我从未责问任何我委派牧养我子民的士师，‘你为何不为我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

那时，有云彩遮盖会幕，耶和华的荣光充满了圣幕。摩西不能进会幕，因为云彩停在上面，耶和华的荣光充满了圣幕。一路上，云彩从圣幕升起，他们就出发。云彩不升起，他们就不出发，一直等到云彩升起。一路上，白天有耶和华的云彩停留在圣幕上面，夜间云中有火光为以色列百姓照明。

“我们的祖先在旷野的时候，一直带着安放约柜的圣幕，这圣幕是上帝吩咐摩西照他所看见的样式造的。

上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”

以色列人离开耶和华的山，走了三天的路程，期间耶和华的约柜一直在队伍的前头，为他们寻找安营之地。他们拔营前行的时候，白天总有耶和华的云彩在他们上面。每当约柜出发的时候，摩西就说：“耶和华啊，求你兴起，击溃你的敌人，使恨你的人逃窜。”约柜停下来的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中。”
