王对拿单先知说：“你看，我住在香柏木的宫中，上帝的约柜却停在幔子里。”

一天，王对拿单先知说：“你看！我住在香柏木造的王宫中，但上帝的约柜还留在帐篷里。”

王对拿单先知说：“你看！我自己住在香柏木的宫里，耶和华的约柜却停在帐幕内。”

那時，王對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，神的約櫃反在幔子裏。」

王對神言人拿單說：『你看我，我住在香柏木的宮殿，而上帝的櫃反而住在幔子中間。』

王對先知拿單說：「你看，如今我住在香柏木的宮殿裡，神的約櫃卻在帳幕裡。」

王謂先知拿單曰、我居香柏之室、而上帝之匱乃在帳中、

諭先知拿單曰、我居之宮、以柏香木創造、而上帝之匱、反在幔中。

謂先知拿單曰、我居柏香木宮中、而天主之匱、反在在原文作居帷幔內、

he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”

Then the king spoke to Nathan the prophet. He said,“ Here I am, living in a house that has beautiful cedar walls. But the ark of God remains in a tent.”

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.”

the king summoned Nathan the prophet.“ Look,” David said,“ I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”

the king said to the prophet Nathan,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

that the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I live in a house of cedar, but the ark of God remains within the tent.”

that the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells inside tent curtains.”

that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

The king said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look! I am living in a palace made from cedar, while the ark of God sits in the middle of a tent.”

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David. (niv)

The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said,“ There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. (niv)

who enjoyed God’s favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. (niv)

“ Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?” (niv)

His disciples remembered that it is written:“ Zeal for your house will consume me.” (niv)

“ Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim woven into them by a skilled worker.All the curtains are to be the same size— twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide.Join five of the curtains together, and do the same with the other five.Make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and do the same with the end curtain in the other set.Make fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the other set, with the loops opposite each other.Then make fifty gold clasps and use them to fasten the curtains together so that the tabernacle is a unit.“ Make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle— eleven altogether.All eleven curtains are to be the same size— thirty cubits long and four cubits wide.Join five of the curtains together into one set and the other six into another set. Fold the sixth curtain double at the front of the tent.Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and also along the edge of the end curtain in the other set.Then make fifty bronze clasps and put them in the loops to fasten the tent together as a unit.As for the additional length of the tent curtains, the half curtain that is left over is to hang down at the rear of the tabernacle.The tent curtains will be a cubit longer on both sides; what is left will hang over the sides of the tabernacle so as to cover it.Make for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of the other durable leather. As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, they are written in the records of Samuel the seer, the records of Nathan the prophet and the records of Gad the seer, (niv)

They brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God. (niv)

Now David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem. (niv)

“ Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.He says,‘ I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms.’ So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red.“ Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him. (niv)

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs, stonemasons and carpenters to build a palace for him. (niv)

till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (niv)

Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation. (niv)

Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the shielding curtain and shielded the ark of the covenant law, as the Lord commanded him. (niv)

They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the Lord. (niv)
