The angel reached his hand out to destroy Jerusalem. But the Lord stopped sending the plague. So he spoke to the angel who was making the people suffer. He said,“ That is enough! Do not kill any more people.” The angel of the Lord was at Araunah’s threshing floor. Araunah was from the city of Jebus.

And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people,“ It is enough; now stay your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

你们要撕裂心肠，不要撕裂衣服。归向耶和华—你们的上帝，因为他有恩惠，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，有丰盛的慈爱，并且会改变心意，不降那灾难。谁知道他也许会回心转意，留下余福，就是献给耶和华—你们上帝的素祭和浇酒祭。

耶和华就因造人在地上感到遗憾，心中忧伤。

因为耶和华要走遍埃及，施行击杀，他看见血在门楣上和两边的门框上，耶和华就必逾越那门，不让灭命者进你们的家，施行击杀。

“我立扫罗为王，我感到遗憾，因为他转去不跟从我，不遵守我的命令。”撒母耳就很生气，终夜哀求耶和华。

希律不归荣耀给上帝，所以主的使者立刻击打他，他被虫咬，就断了气。

当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，看哪，都是死尸。

耶和华就差遣一个使者进入亚述王的营中，把所有大能的勇士、官长和将领尽都灭了。亚述王满面羞愧地回到本国，进了他神明的庙中，他几个亲生的儿子在那里用刀杀了他。

所罗门在耶路撒冷开工建造耶和华的殿，就在耶和华向他父亲大卫显现的摩利亚山上，耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场，大卫指定的地方。

这血要在你们所住的房屋上作记号；我一见这血，就逾越你们。我击打埃及地的时候，灾殃必不临到你们身上施行毁灭。”

耶和华啊，我们要等到几时呢？求你转回，怜悯你的仆人们。

耶和华要为自己的百姓伸冤，为自己的仆人发怜悯。

这样的人受了大多数人的责备也就够了，

愿他们的道路又暗又滑，有耶和华的使者追赶他们。

和耶布斯人、亚摩利人、革迦撒人、

他自己在旷野走了一日的路程，来到一棵罗腾树下，就坐在那里求死，说：“耶和华啊，现在够了！求你取我的性命吧，因为我不比我的祖先好。”

至于住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，犹大人不能把他们赶出去。于是，耶布斯人与犹大人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

我必不长久控诉，也不永远怀怒，因为我虽使灵性发昏，我也造了人的气息。

当日，大卫说：“谁攻打耶布斯人，就要从水道上去，攻打我心里所恨恶的瘸子、盲人。”因此有人说：“盲人和瘸子不得进殿里去。”

你们的上帝说：“要安慰，安慰我的百姓。要对耶路撒冷说安慰的话，向它宣告，它的战争已结束，它的罪孽已赦免；它为自己一切的罪，已从耶和华手中加倍受罚。”

你驱赶他们，放逐他们，与他们相争。在刮东风的日子，他以暴风赶逐他们。

耶和华对这事改变心意，主耶和华说：“这灾也可免了。”

至于住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，便雅悯人没有把他们赶出。于是，耶布斯人与便雅悯人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

但他有怜悯，赦免他们的罪孽，没有灭绝他们，而且屡次撤销他的怒气，不发尽他的愤怒。

将近耶布斯的时候，太阳快下山了，仆人对主人说：“来吧，我们进这耶布斯人的城，在这里住宿。”

上帝派遣使者去毁灭耶路撒冷，刚要毁灭的时候，耶和华看见就改变心意，不降这灾了。他吩咐那灭城的天使说：“够了，住手吧！”耶和华的使者正站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场那里。大卫举目，看见耶和华的使者站在天和地之间，手里有拔出来的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大卫和长老都披上麻布，脸伏于地。

他第三次来对他们说：“现在你们仍在睡觉安歇吗？够了，时候到了。看哪，人子被出卖在罪人手里了。

请你们祈求耶和华，因上帝的雷轰和冰雹已经够了。我要放你们走，你们不用再留下来了。”

我要除去他口中带血之肉和牙齿内可憎之物。他必作余民归于我们的上帝，在犹大像族长一样；以革伦必如耶布斯人。

耶和华对这事改变心意，耶和华说：“这灾可以免了。”

我何时论到一邦或一国说，要拔出、拆毁、毁坏；我所说的那一邦若回转离开他们的恶，我就改变心意，不将我想要施行的灾祸降与他们。我何时论到一邦或一国说，要建立、栽植；他们若行我眼中看为恶的事，不听从我的话，我就改变心意，不将我所说的福气赐给他们。

当日，迦得来到大卫那里，对他说：“你上去，在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场上为耶和华立一座坛。”

耶和华啊，我听见你的名声；耶和华啊，我惧怕你的作为。求你在这些年间复兴你的作为，在这些年间将它显明出来；在发怒的时候以怜悯为念。

于是耶和华改变心意，不把所说的灾祸降给他的百姓。
