When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was afflicting the people,“ Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the Lord was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

The angel reached his hand out to destroy Jerusalem. But the Lord stopped sending the plague. So he spoke to the angel who was making the people suffer. He said,“ That is enough! Do not kill any more people.” The angel of the Lord was at Araunah’s threshing floor. Araunah was from the city of Jebus.

And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people,“ It is enough; now stay your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

But as the angel was preparing to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented and said to the death angel,“ Stop! That is enough!” At that moment the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

你們要撕裂心腸，不要撕裂衣服。歸向耶和華－你們的神，因為他有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且會改變心意，不降那災難。誰知道他也許會回心轉意，留下餘福，就是獻給耶和華－你們神的素祭和澆酒祭。

耶和華就因造人在地上感到遺憾，心中憂傷。

因為耶和華要走遍埃及，施行擊殺，他看見血在門楣上和兩邊的門框上，耶和華就必逾越那門，不讓滅命者進你們的家，施行擊殺。

「我立掃羅為王，我感到遺憾，因為他轉去不跟從我，不遵守我的命令。」撒母耳就很生氣，終夜哀求耶和華。

希律不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。

當夜，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，看哪，都是死屍。

耶和華就差遣一個使者進入亞述王的營中，把所有大能的勇士、官長和將領盡都滅了。亞述王滿面羞愧地回到本國，進了他神明的廟中，他幾個親生的兒子在那裏用刀殺了他。

所羅門在耶路撒冷開工建造耶和華的殿，就在耶和華向他父親大衛顯現的摩利亞山上，耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場，大衛指定的地方。

這血要在你們所住的房屋上作記號；我一見這血，就逾越你們。我擊打埃及地的時候，災殃必不臨到你們身上施行毀滅。」

耶和華啊，我們要等到幾時呢？求你轉回，憐憫你的僕人們。

耶和華要為自己的百姓伸冤，為自己的僕人發憐憫。

這樣的人受了大多數人的責備也就夠了，

願他們的道路又暗又滑，有耶和華的使者追趕他們。

和耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、

他自己在曠野走了一日的路程，來到一棵羅騰樹下，就坐在那裏求死，說：「耶和華啊，現在夠了！求你取我的性命吧，因為我不比我的祖先好。」

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕出去。於是，耶布斯人與猶大人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

我必不長久控訴，也不永遠懷怒，因為我雖使靈性發昏，我也造了人的氣息。

當日，大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，就要從水道上去，攻打我心裏所恨惡的瘸子、盲人。」因此有人說：「盲人和瘸子不得進殿裏去。」

你們的神說：「要安慰，安慰我的百姓。要對耶路撒冷說安慰的話，向它宣告，它的戰爭已結束，它的罪孽已赦免；它為自己一切的罪，已從耶和華手中加倍受罰。」

你驅趕他們，放逐他們，與他們相爭。在颳東風的日子，他以暴風趕逐他們。

耶和華對這事改變心意，主耶和華說：「這災也可免了。」

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，便雅憫人沒有把他們趕出。於是，耶布斯人與便雅憫人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，沒有滅絕他們，而且屢次撤銷他的怒氣，不發盡他的憤怒。

將近耶布斯的時候，太陽快下山了，僕人對主人說：「來吧，我們進這耶布斯人的城，在這裏住宿。」

神派遣使者去毀滅耶路撒冷，剛要毀滅的時候，耶和華看見就改變心意，不降這災了。他吩咐那滅城的天使說：「夠了，住手吧！」耶和華的使者正站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場那裏。大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天和地之間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都披上麻布，臉伏於地。

他第三次來對他們說：「現在你們仍在睡覺安歇嗎？夠了，時候到了。看哪，人子被出賣在罪人手裏了。

請你們祈求耶和華，因神的雷轟和冰雹已經夠了。我要放你們走，你們不用再留下來了。」

我要除去他口中帶血之肉和牙齒內可憎之物。他必作餘民歸於我們的神，在猶大像族長一樣；以革倫必如耶布斯人。

耶和華對這事改變心意，耶和華說：「這災可以免了。」

我何時論到一邦或一國說，要拔出、拆毀、毀壞；我所說的那一邦若回轉離開他們的惡，我就改變心意，不將我想要施行的災禍降與他們。我何時論到一邦或一國說，要建立、栽植；他們若行我眼中看為惡的事，不聽從我的話，我就改變心意，不將我所說的福氣賜給他們。

當日，迦得來到大衛那裏，對他說：「你上去，在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場上為耶和華立一座壇。」

耶和華啊，我聽見你的名聲；耶和華啊，我懼怕你的作為。求你在這些年間復興你的作為，在這些年間將它顯明出來；在發怒的時候以憐憫為念。

於是耶和華改變心意，不把所說的災禍降給他的百姓。
