大卫对迦得说：“我甚为难！我愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯。我不愿落在人的手里。”

大卫对迦得说：“我很为难。我们宁愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯；我不愿落在人的手里。”

大卫说：“我实在为难！不过我宁愿落在耶和华的手中，也不愿落在人的手中，因为耶和华有无限的怜悯。”

大卫对迦得说：“我非常为难，我们情愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯。不要让我落在人的手里。”

大衛對迦得說：『我非常為難；讓我們落在永恆主手裏吧，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；可別讓我落在人手裏呀。』於是大衛選擇了瘟疫。那些日子正是收割麥子的日子。

大衛對迦得說：「這使我非常為難！還是讓我們落在耶和華手中吧，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；請不要讓我落在人的手中。」

大衛曰、我處窘迫之境、耶和華矜恤維大、願陷於其手、勿陷於人手、

大闢曰我迫阨甚矣耶和華矜憫為懷、願陷於其手、勿陷於人手。

大衛謂迦得曰、我窘迫已極、或作我甚愁戚我願陷於主手、因主大施憐憫、不願陷於人手、

David said to Gad,“ I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”

David said to Gad,“ I’m suffering terribly. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord. His mercy is great. But don’t let me fall into human hands.”

Then David said to Gad,“ I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.”

“ I’m in a desperate situation!” David replied to Gad.“ But let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands.”

David answered Gad,“ I have great anxiety. Please, let us fall into the LORD’s hands because his mercies are great, but don’t let me fall into human hands.”

Then David said to Gad,“ I am in great distress. Let us now fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”

And David said to Gad,“ I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of Jehovah; for his mercies are great; and let me not fall into the hand of man.

David answered Gad,“ I have great anxiety. Please, let us fall into the Lord’s hands because His mercies are great, but don’t let me fall into human hands.”

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies[ are] great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

David said to Gad,“ I am very upset! I prefer that we be attacked by the LORD, for his mercy is great; I do not want to be attacked by men!”

David said to Gad,“ I am in distress. Let us fall now into Yahweh’s hand; for his mercies are great. Let me not fall into man’s hand.”

Your compassion, Lord, is great; preserve my life according to your laws. (niv)

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. (niv)

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. (niv)

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. (niv)

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.“ Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. (niv)

He gave them into the hands of the nations, and their foes ruled over them.Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power. (niv)

But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. (niv)

And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” (niv)

He prayed to the Lord,“ Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. (niv)

I was angry with my people and desecrated my inheritance; I gave them into your hand, and you showed them no mercy. Even on the aged you laid a very heavy yoke. (niv)

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. (niv)

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. (niv)

Therefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hands of the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him.In one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed a hundred and twenty thousand soldiers in Judah— because Judah had forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors.Zikri, an Ephraimite warrior, killed Maaseiah the king’s son, Azrikam the officer in charge of the palace, and Elkanah, second to the king.The men of Israel took captive from their fellow Israelites who were from Judah two hundred thousand wives, sons and daughters. They also took a great deal of plunder, which they carried back to Samaria.But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them,“ Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven. (niv)

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.Then Jehoahaz sought the Lord’s favor, and the Lord listened to him, for he saw how severely the king of Aram was oppressing Israel.The Lord provided a deliverer for Israel, and they escaped from the power of Aram. So the Israelites lived in their own homes as they had before.But they did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit; they continued in them. Also, the Asherah pole remained standing in Samaria.Nothing had been left of the army of Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Aram had destroyed the rest and made them like the dust at threshing time. When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets, among the rocks, and in pits and cisterns. (niv)

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. (niv)

“ Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. (niv)

I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; (niv)

and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’ (niv)

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. (niv)
