Now then, be strong and brave, for Saul your master is dead, and the people of Judah have anointed me king over them.”

壯士咸起、竟夕而行、自伯珊城垣、取掃羅及其子之尸、攜至雅比焚之、

宜儆醒立於信、剛毅如丈夫、

嗣後耶和華於異象中、諭亞伯蘭曰、亞伯蘭歟、毋懼、我為爾盾、大賚於爾、

居山谷相對之所、與約但河東之以色列人、見以色列人遁、掃羅及子皆死、遂棄邑而逃、非利士人至而居之、○

此外當賴主及其權能而剛健、

非利士人歟、當壯乃志、為大丈夫、免為奴於希伯來族、如彼為奴於爾、當為大丈夫而戰、

宜強乃志、爾我當為我民、及我上帝邑、為大丈夫、願耶和華成其所欲、
