He said,“ My lord the king, since I your servant am lame, I said,‘ I will have my donkey saddled and will ride on it, so I can go with the king.’ But Ziba my servant betrayed me.

他回答：“我主我王，你仆人是瘸腿的；那天，我心里想我要预备驴子，可以骑上，与王一同离开，但是我的仆人却欺骗了我，

他回答：“我主我王，你僕人是瘸腿的；那天，我心裡想我要預備驢子，可以騎上，與王一同離開，但是我的僕人卻欺騙了我，

他回答說：『我主我王，我的僕人哄騙了我了；因為你僕人吩咐他說：「給我豫備好了一匹驢，我好騎上，跟王一同去」；因為你僕人瘸腿；無奈他竟哄騙了我。

他回答：「我主我王啊，你僕人本來說『我要給驢子備好鞍，騎上驢子與王一同離開』，因為你僕人是瘸腿的；可是我的僕人欺騙了我！

對曰、我主我王、爾僕跛足、意欲備驢乘之、與王同行、而我僕欺我、

He said,“ You are my king and master. I’m not able to walk. So I thought,‘ I’ll have a saddle put on my donkey. I’ll ride on it. Then I can go with the king.’ But my servant Ziba turned against me.

He answered,“ My lord, O king, my servant deceived me, for your servant said to him,‘ I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king.’ For your servant is lame.

Mephibosheth replied,“ My lord the king, my servant Ziba deceived me. I told him,‘ Saddle my donkey so I can go with the king.’ For as you know I am crippled.

“ My lord the king,” he replied,“ my servant Ziba betrayed me. Actually your servant said,‘ I’ll saddle the donkey for myself so that I may ride it and go with the king’— for your servant is lame.

So he said,“ My lord the king, my servant betrayed me; for your servant said,‘ I will saddle the donkey for myself so that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ since your servant cannot walk.

And he answered,“ My Lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said,‘ I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go to the king,’ because your servant is lame.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go with the king; because thy servant is lame.

“ My lord the king,” he replied,“ my servant Ziba betrayed me. Actually your servant said:‘ I’ll saddle the donkey for myself so that I may ride it and go with the king’— for your servant is lame.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant[ is] lame.

He replied,“ My lord the king, my servant deceived me! I said,‘ Let me get my donkey saddled so that I can ride on it and go with the king,’ for I am lame.

He answered,“ My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said,‘ I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.

The king asked,“ Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king,“ There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.”

( Jonathan son of Saul had a son who was lame in both feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to leave, he fell and became disabled. His name was Mephibosheth.)

The king asked Ziba,“ Why have you brought these?” Ziba answered,“ The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on, the bread and fruit are for the men to eat, and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the wilderness.”The king then asked,“ Where is your master’s grandson?” Ziba said to him,“ He is staying in Jerusalem, because he thinks,‘ Today the Israelites will restore to me my grandfather’s kingdom.’”
