先是亚兰王吩咐他的三十二个车兵长说：“他们的兵将，无论大小，你们都不可与他们争战，只要与以色列王争战。”

万军之耶和华说：“刀剑哪，应当兴起，攻击我的牧人和我的同伴。击打牧人，羊就分散；我必反手加在微小者的身上。”

那时，耶稣对他们说：“今夜，你们为我的缘故都要跌倒。因为经上记着说：‘我要击打牧人，羊就分散了。’

不料，园户看见他儿子，就彼此说：‘这是承受产业的。来吧，我们杀他，占他的产业！’

他们在路上遇见你，趁你疲乏困倦击杀你尽后边软弱的人，并不敬畏神。

独不想一个人替百姓死，免得通国灭亡，就是你们的益处。”

耶稣知道将要临到自己的一切事，就出来对他们说：“你们找谁？”他们回答说：“找拿撒勒人耶稣。”耶稣说：“我就是！”卖他的犹大也同他们站在那里。耶稣一说“我就是”，他们就退后倒在地上。他又问他们说：“你们找谁？”他们说：“找拿撒勒人耶稣。”耶稣说：“我已经告诉你们，我就是。你们若找我，就让这些人去吧。”
