Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head.”

Then Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, spoke to the king. He said,“ King David, why should we let this dead dog curse you? Let me go over there. I’ll cut off his head.”

“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?” Abishai son of Zeruiah demanded.“ Let me go over and cut off his head!”

“不可毁谤神；也不可毁谤你百姓的官长。

米非波设又叩拜，说：“仆人算什么，不过如死狗一般，竟蒙王这样眷顾！”

以色列王出来要寻找谁呢？追赶谁呢？不过追赶一条死狗，一个虼蚤就是了。

押尼珥因伊施波设的话就甚发怒，说：“我岂是犹大的狗头呢？我恩待你父扫罗的家和他的弟兄、朋友，不将你交在大卫手里，今日你竟为这妇人责备我吗？

他的门徒雅各、约翰看见了，就说：“主啊，你要我们吩咐火从天上降下来烧灭他们，像以利亚所做的吗？”

约押和他兄弟亚比筛杀了押尼珥，是因押尼珥在基遍争战的时候杀了他们的兄弟亚撒黑。

大卫对赫人亚希米勒和洗鲁雅的儿子约押的兄弟亚比筛说：“谁同我下到扫罗营里去？”亚比筛说：“我同你下去。”于是大卫和亚比筛夜间到了百姓那里，见扫罗睡在辎重营里；他的枪在头旁，插在地上。押尼珥和百姓睡在他周围。亚比筛对大卫说：“现在神将你的仇敌交在你手里，求你容我拿枪将他刺透在地，一刺就成，不用再刺。”大卫对亚比筛说：“不可害死他。有谁伸手害耶和华的受膏者而无罪呢？”大卫又说：“我指着永生的耶和华起誓，他或被耶和华击打，或是死期到了，或是出战阵亡；我在耶和华面前，万不敢伸手害耶和华的受膏者。现在你可以将他头旁的枪和水瓶拿来，我们就走。”

加利亚的儿子约哈难和在田野的一切军长来到米斯巴见基大利，对他说：“亚扪人的王巴利斯打发尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来要你的命，你知道吗？”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不信他们的话。加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说：“求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他要你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩下的人都灭亡呢？”亚希甘的儿子基大利对加利亚的儿子约哈难说：“你不可行这事，你所论以实玛利的话是假的。”

我没有容口犯罪，咒诅他的生命；若我帐棚的人未尝说，谁不以主人的食物吃饱呢？
