押沙龍對亞希多弗說：「你們給個建議，我們該怎麼做呢？」

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、我儕當若何而行、爾其謀之、

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、爾曹計議、當如何以行、

Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel. What shall we do?”

Then Absalom turned to Ahithophel and asked him,“ What should I do next?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give me your advice. What should we do?”

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give your counsel what we shall do.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give me your advice. What should we do?”

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel what we shall do.”

There is no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against the Lord.

come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.”

And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said:“ Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:‘ Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’“ For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered togetherto do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.”

Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, And their works are in the dark; They say,“ Who sees us?” and,“ Who knows us?”

When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.

The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth.The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming.

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
