大衛蒙著頭，赤著腳登上橄欖山，邊走邊哭，他的隨從也蒙著頭，哭著走上山。

But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up.

But David went on up the Mount of Olives. He was weeping as he went. His head was covered, and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too. And they were weeping as they went up.

But David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went, barefoot and with his head covered. And all the people who were with him covered their heads, and they went up, weeping as they went.

David walked up the road to the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went. His head was covered and his feet were bare as a sign of mourning. And the people who were with him covered their heads and wept as they climbed the hill.

David was climbing the slope of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he ascended. His head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. All of the people with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they ascended.

And David was going up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went, and his head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. Then all the people who were with him each covered his own head, and they were going up, weeping as they went.

So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.

之後，末底改回到宮門那裡，哈曼卻悲傷地蒙著頭匆匆回家去了。

王仍掩面痛哭：「我兒押沙龍啊！押沙龍！我兒！我兒啊！」

耶和華吩咐亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞脫去身上的麻衣和腳上的鞋。以賽亞便遵命裸身赤足而行。耶和華說：「我僕人以賽亞已經裸身赤足行走三年，作為懲罰埃及和古實的標記和預兆。亞述王必把埃及和古實的老老少少裸身赤足地擄走，使埃及蒙受羞辱。

你們仍將裹著頭巾，穿著鞋，不哭泣，也不悲傷。你們必因自己的罪惡而默然歎息，逐漸滅亡。

貴族派僕人去水池打水，僕人去那裡發現沒有水，就帶著空瓶垂頭喪氣、羞愧難當地回去了。天不下雨，土地乾裂，農夫沮喪地抱著頭。

你要默然哀歎，不可為死人辦喪事，仍要纏著頭巾，穿著鞋，不可蒙著臉，也不可吃喪家吃的飯。」

要與喜樂的人同樂，與哀哭的人同哭。

如果身體某個肢體感到痛苦，全身也一同受苦。如果某個肢體得到榮耀，全身也一同喜樂。

於是，他們從橄欖山回到耶路撒冷。橄欖山距離耶路撒冷不遠，約是安息日允許走的路程。

我不吃不喝，晝夜以淚洗面，人們整天譏笑我：「你的上帝在哪裡？」從前我帶領眾人浩浩蕩蕩去上帝的殿，在歡呼、感恩聲中一起過節。我回想這些事，心中無限憂傷。我的心啊！你為何沮喪？為何煩躁？要仰望上帝，因為我還要讚美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。我的上帝啊，我心中沮喪，便在約旦河、黑門山和米薩山想起你。你的瀑布發出巨響，迴盪在深淵之間，你的洪濤巨浪淹沒我。白天耶和華將祂的慈愛澆灌我；夜間我歌頌祂，向賜我生命的上帝禱告。我對上帝——我的磐石說：「你為何忘記我？為何要我受仇敵的攻擊，使我哀傷不已呢？」仇敵的辱罵刺骨鑽心。他們整天對我說：「你的上帝在哪裡？」我的心啊！你為何沮喪？為何煩躁？要仰望上帝，因為我還要讚美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。上帝啊，求你為我伸張正義，在不虔敬的人面前為我辯護，救我脫離詭詐邪惡的人。你是保護我的上帝，你為何丟棄我？為何讓我受仇敵的攻擊，使我哀傷不已呢？

到那天，祂的腳必踏在耶路撒冷東面的橄欖山上，這山必從東至西分成兩半，一半向北移，一半向南移，中間形成極大的山谷。

哀慟的人有福了，因為他們必得安慰。

快到橄欖山附近的伯法其和伯大尼時，耶穌派了兩個門徒，說：

耶穌離開，像往常一樣前往橄欖山，門徒也跟去了。

祂正走下橄欖山，將近耶路撒冷的時候，眾門徒因為以往所見的神蹟奇事，就歡騰起來，高聲讚美上帝：

耶穌每天在聖殿裡講道，晚上則到城外的橄欖山上過夜。

耶穌快到耶路撒冷時，看見那城就哀哭，

我的心啊！你為何沮喪？為何煩躁？要仰望上帝，因為我還要讚美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。

含淚撒種的必歡呼著收割。含淚出去撒種的必歡呼著帶回禾捆。
