Absalom commanded his servants, saying,“ Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you,‘ Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，看暗嫩饮酒畅快的时候，我对你们说杀暗嫩，你们便杀他，不要惧怕。这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们只管壮胆奋勇！”

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，暗嫩开怀畅饮的时候，我对你们说击杀暗嫩，你们就杀他。不要惧怕，这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们要刚强，作勇士！”

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，暗嫩开怀畅饮的时候，我对你们说击杀暗嫩，你们就杀他。不要惧怕，这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们要刚强，作勇士！”

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们要留意，当暗嫩喝得正高兴的时候，我叫你们杀他，你们就要动手。不要畏缩，要刚强勇敢！因为这是我的命令。”

押沙龙吩咐他的仆人说：“你们注意！暗嫩酒酣耳热的时候，我对你们说：‘击杀暗嫩！’你们就把他杀死。不要惧怕，这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们要坚强，作勇敢的人。”

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，看暗嫩飲酒暢快的時候，我對你們說殺暗嫩，你們便殺他，不要懼怕。這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們只管壯膽奮勇！」

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，暗嫩開懷暢飲的時候，我對你們說擊殺暗嫩，你們就殺他。不要懼怕，這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要剛強，作勇士！」

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，暗嫩開懷暢飲的時候，我對你們說擊殺暗嫩，你們就殺他。不要懼怕，這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要剛強，作勇士！」

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們要留意，當暗嫩喝得正高興的時候，我叫你們殺他，你們就要動手。不要畏縮，要剛強勇敢！因為這是我的命令。」

押沙龍擺設了筵席、如同王的筵席；他吩咐僮僕說：『你們看暗嫩喝酒心裏高興的時候，我對你們說：「擊殺暗嫩」，你們便殺死他，不要懼怕；這不是我吩咐你們的麼？你們只管壯膽奮勇。』

押沙龍吩咐他的僕人們說：「你們要注意！當暗嫩喝酒暢快的時候，我對你們說：『擊殺暗嫩！』你們就把他殺了。不要害怕！這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要堅強，作英勇的人！」

押沙龍命其僕曰、當伺暗嫩飲酒快心、我諭爾曰擊暗嫩、則殺之、毋畏、命爾者非我乎、當壯膽而奮勇、

押沙龍預囑其僕曰、待暗嫩飲酒已酣、我曰擊暗嫩、則殺之無畏、我既令爾、當強乃志、毋忝英武。

押沙龍預命其僕曰、爾見暗嫩飲酒已酣、我曰擊暗嫩、爾則殺之勿懼、命爾者我、爾當強爾心強爾心或作放膽為勇士、

Absalom ordered his men,“ Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.”

Absalom told his men,“ Wait until Amnon gets drunk; then at my signal, kill him! Don’t be afraid. I’m the one who has given the command. Take courage and do it!”

Now Absalom commanded his young men,“ Watch Amnon until he is in a good mood from the wine. When I order you to strike Amnon, then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Am I not the one who has commanded you? Be strong and valiant!”

Then Absalom commanded his servants, saying,“ See now, when Amnon’s heart is cheerful with wine, and I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon,’ then put him to death. Do not fear; have I not commanded you myself? Be courageous and be valiant.”

As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain wicked fellows, surrounded the house, beating at the door; and they spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying,“ Bring out the man who came into your house, that we can have sex with him!”

When the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father- in- law, the young lady’s father, said to him,“ Behold, now the day draws toward evening, please stay all night. Behold, the day is ending. Stay here, that your heart may be merry; and tomorrow go on your way early, that you may go home.”

Abigail came to Nabal; and behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes the life glad; and money is the answer for all things.

Come, let’s make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve our father’s family line.”They made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father. He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

When David had called him, he ate and drank before him; and he made him drunk. At evening, he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but didn’t go down to his house.
