And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

押沙龙来见王，说：“现在有人为仆人剪羊毛，请王和王的臣仆与仆人同去。”

押沙龙来到王那里，说：“看哪，有人正为你的仆人剪羊毛，请王和王的臣仆与你的仆人同去。”

他去见王，说：“我的工人正在剪羊毛，请王和众臣仆跟我一起去吧。”

押沙龙去见王说：“看哪！现在你的仆人雇了人剪羊毛；请王和王的臣仆与我一同去。”

押沙龍來見王，說：「現在有人為僕人剪羊毛，請王和王的臣僕與僕人同去。」

押沙龍來到王那裏，說：「看哪，有人正為你的僕人剪羊毛，請王和王的臣僕與你的僕人同去。」

他去見王，說：「我的工人正在剪羊毛，請王和眾臣僕跟我一起去吧。」

押沙龍來見王說：『看哪，現在有剪羊毛的人為僕人剪羊毛；請王和王的臣僕跟僕人一同去。』

押沙龍來見王，說：「看哪，現在有人為僕人剪羊毛，請王和王的臣僕們與僕人同去。」

乃覲王曰、有人為僕剪羊毛、請王及臣僕、與爾僕偕往、

覲王曰、臣僕僱人往剪羊毛、請王及群臣與我偕行。

押沙龍見王曰、有人為僕翦羊毛、請王與王之臣僕、同往筵宴、

Absalom went to the king and said,“ Your servant has had shearers come. Will the king and his attendants please join me?”

Absalom went to the king. He said,“ I’ve had my workers come to clip the wool. Will you and your attendants please join me?”

And Absalom came to the king and said,“ Behold, your servant has sheepshearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

He went to the king and said,“ My sheep shearers are now at work. Would the king and his servants please come to celebrate the occasion with me?”

Then he went to the king and said,“ Your servant has just hired sheepshearers. Will the king and his servants please come with your servant?”

And Absalom came to the king and said,“ Behold now, your servant has sheepshearers; may the king and his servants please go with your servant.”

Then Absalom came to the king and said,“ Kindly note, your servant has sheepshearers; please, let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheep- shearers; let the king, I pray thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Then he went to the king and said,“ Your servant has just hired sheepshearers. Will the king and his servants please come with your servant?”

Then Absalom went to the king and said,“ My shearers have begun their work. Let the king and his servants go with me.”

Absalom came to the king, and said,“ See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

[ The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war[ was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet[ were] they drawn swords.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour:[ with] flattering lips[ and] with a double heart do they speak.

And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess[ of meat] from the king.But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from[ thy] journey? why[ then] didst thou not go down unto thine house?And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife?[ as] thou livest, and[ as] thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and tomorrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent[ it] by the hand of Uriah.And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.

And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.And it was[ so], when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah slew them,[ and cast them] into the midst of the pit, he, and the men that[ were] with him.
