And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said unto David, Jehovah also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

David responded to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” Then Nathan replied to David,“ The Lord has taken away your sin; you will not die.

Now David’s heart troubled him after he had counted the people. So David said to the Lord,“ I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, Lord, please overlook the guilt of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.”

‘ If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper, But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion.

And he responded and said to those who were standing before him, saying,“ Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him,“ See, I have taken your guilt away from you and will clothe you with festive robes.”

Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.

How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!How blessed is a person whose guilt the Lord does not take into account, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality failed as with the dry heat of summer.
