接着，我看见一个新天新地，因为先前的天和先前的地都已经过去了，海也不再存在了。

因为你们自己明确地知道，主的日子来临，就像夜里的贼来临那样。

“看哪，我要来临，就像贼来临那样！那警醒并保持衣着在身，免得赤身行走被人看见他羞处的，这样的人是蒙福的。”

但现在的天和地，藉着他的话语得以存留，一直留到不敬神的人受审判和灭亡的日子，被火焚烧。

不过你们应当知道这一点：一家的主人如果知道贼什么时候来，就不会让他的房子被人钻进。

你们要向天举目，要俯视大地；因为诸天必像烟云一样消散，大地必像衣服那样渐渐破旧，其上的居民必如蚊虫死去；但我的救恩必存到永远，我的公义也不衰残。

接着，我看见一个白色的大宝座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都从他面前逃避，连它们的地方也找不到了。

所以你们要警醒，因为你们不知道你们的主哪一天回来。不过你们应当知道这一点：一家的主人如果知道贼什么时刻来，他就会警醒，不让他的房子被人钻进。

所以你应当记住你所领受、所听见的是什么；你应当持守，应当悔改。如果你不警醒，我就要来临，就像贼来临那样；而你绝不会知道我什么时候临到你。

天地将要消亡，你却继续存留；天地都要像衣服那样渐渐破旧，你把它们像衣袍那样更换，它们就消逝了；

等候并催促神的日子来临。因为在那日，诸天将被焚烧而废除，天体要被火焚烧而熔化。

天上的万象都要衰亡，天如同书卷要被卷起来；其中的万象都要凋零，如葡萄树的叶子凋零，又如无花果树的叶子凋零。

天和地将要消逝，但是我的话绝不会消逝。

看哪！在耶和华大而可畏的日子来到之前，我必派遣先知以利亚到你们那里去。

把这样的人交给撒旦，使他的肉体毁灭，好让他的灵魂在主的日子可以得救。

大地全然破坏，彻底崩裂，剧烈摇动。

因为必有万军之耶和华的一个日子，临到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他们成为卑贱；

天地将要毁灭，你却继续存留；天地都要像衣服那样渐渐破旧。你将要把天地像外衣那样卷起来，天地也要像衣服那样被更换；你却永不改变，你的岁月没有穷尽。”

就像你们对我们已经有一些了解那样，因为在我们主耶稣的日子，我们是你们的夸耀，正如你们是我们的夸耀。

并且用永恒的锁链把那些不守本位、离开自己居所的天使拘留在幽暗里，直到那大日子的审判。

在耶和华面前，在全地的主面前，群山像蜡那样熔化。

列邦喧闹，列国动摇；神发出声音，大地就消融。

因为被造之物屈从在虚妄之下，并不是出于自愿，而是出于使它屈从的那一位；
