惟主知拯救虔敬之人、脫於苦難、而留不義之人、待審判之日受刑、

觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

In fact, all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

But by the same word, the present heavens and earth are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

And Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied about them: Look! The Lord comes with thousands of His holy onesto execute judgment on all and to convict them of all their ungodly acts that they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things ungodly sinners have said against Him.

He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works.

For we must all appear before the tribunal of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or worthless.Therefore, because we know the fear of the Lord, we seek to persuade people. We are completely open before God, and I hope we are completely open to your consciences as well.

The Lord has prepared everything for His purpose— even the wicked for the day of disaster.

Therefore let everyone who is faithful pray to You at a time that You may be found. When great floodwaters come, they will not reach him.
