惟主知拯救虔敬之人、脫於苦難、而留不義之人、待審判之日受刑、

觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

你们所受的试探，无非是人受得起的；神是信实的，他必不容许你们受试探过于你们承受得起的，而且在受试探的时候，必定给你们开一条出路，使你们能忍受得住。

耶和华的眼睛看顾义人，他的耳朵垂听他们的呼求。耶和华的脸敌对作恶的人，要把他们的名从世上除掉。义人哀求，耶和华就垂听，搭救他们脱离一切患难，耶和华亲近心中破碎的人，拯救灵里痛悔的人，义人虽有许多苦难，但耶和华搭救他脱离这一切。

你既然遵守了我忍耐的道，我也必定保守你脱离那试炼的时候；这就是那将要临到普天下，来试炼住在地上的人的时候。

其实，所有立志在基督耶稣里过敬虔生活的，都必遭受迫害。

但现在的天地，还是因着同样的话可以存留，直到不敬虔的人受审判和遭灭亡的日子，用火焚烧。

亚当的第七世孙以诺，也曾经预言这些人说：“看，主必同他的千万圣者降临，要审判众人，又要定所有不敬虔的人的罪，因为他们妄行各样不敬虔的事，并且说了种种刚愎的话顶撞神。”

他为我们舍己，为的是要救赎我们脱离一切不法的事，并且洁净我们作他自己的子民，热心善工。

因为我们众人都必须在基督的审判台前显露出来，使各人按着本身所行的，或善或恶，受到报应。我们既然知道主是可畏的，就劝勉众人。我们在神面前是显明的，我盼望在你们的良心里也是显明的。

耶和华所造的各有目的，连恶人也是为祸患的日子而造的。

神没有姑息犯罪的天使，反而把他们丢入地狱，囚禁在幽暗的坑里，等候审判。

你六次遭遇患难，他都救拔你，就算第七次，灾祸也伤不了你。

可是你一直硬着心肠，不肯悔改，为自己积蓄神的忿怒，就是他彰显公义审判的那天所要发的忿怒。

你们要知道耶和华已经把虔诚人分别出来，归他自己；我向耶和华呼求的时候，他就垂听。

就是恶人在灾难的日子得存留，在神发怒的时候得逃脱。

耶和华啊！求你施行拯救，因为虔诚人没有了，在世人中的信实人也不见了。

因此，凡是敬虔的人，都当趁你可寻找的时候，向你祷告；大水泛滥的时候，必不能达到他那里。
