蓋義者與彼同處、見其敗亂矩矱、無日不憂、

蓋此義人居於彼中、目見耳聞其非法之事、傷其義心、

蓋羅德以正直之身、處於群小之中、所見所聞、莫非橫行無道、中心惄焉如擣、無有寧日也。

( for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—

That good man lived among them day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking God’s laws. And the godly spirit of Lot was deeply troubled.

Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.

I see the treacherous and loathe them, Because they do not keep Your word.

Like a trampled spring and a polluted well, So is a righteous person who gives way before the wicked.

So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also put God to the test and escape punishment.’ ”Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.“ And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies,“ on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”

My zeal has consumed me, Because my enemies have forgotten Your words.

When the righteous triumph, there is great glory, But when the wicked rise, people hide themselves.

Utterly kill old men, young men, female virgins, little children, and women, but do not touch any person on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were before the temple.

realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.
