蓋此義者居其中、且見且聞、以其不法之行、日傷公義之心、

蓋義者與彼同處、見其敗亂矩矱、無日不憂、

蓋此義人居於彼中、目見耳聞其非法之事、傷其義心、

蓋羅德以正直之身、處於群小之中、所見所聞、莫非橫行無道、中心惄焉如擣、無有寧日也。

( for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—

That good man lived among them day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking God’s laws. And the godly spirit of Lot was deeply troubled.

我看見背信的人就討厭；因為你的訓言他們不遵守。

如今我們呢、竟稱傲慢人為有福了！而行惡的人居然得建立了！他們雖試探上帝，卻還得逃脫、免受災難呢！」』那些敬畏永恆主的就是這樣彼此談論的；永恆主也留心聽着；在他面前且有備忘冊記錄着那些敬畏永恆主、想念他名的人的事呢。萬軍之永恆主說：『在我行動的日子、他們必屬於我做特別產業；我必顧惜他們，正如人顧惜自己的兒子、那服事自己的一樣。

我的妒憤燃燒了我，因為我的敵人忘記了你的話語。

義人歡躍，大有光榮；惡人興起，人都被搜查。

要將年老的、年壯的、和處女、幼小的和婦女、全都殺掉滅盡，從聖所殺起；但凡有刀字記號的、你們可別觸害着。』於是他們從聖殿面前做長老的人殺起。

我們也知道律法原不是為義人而立的，乃是為不法和不服約束的、為不敬虔和犯重罪的、為不虔聖和凡俗的、為擊殺父親或擊殺母親的、為殺人的、

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，使你們得醫治，義人竭力的祈求是大有功效的。
