昔者天神之干罪也、天主且毅然投之地獄、囚之冥府、以待審判。

就是天使犯了罪，神也没有宽容，曾把他们丢在地狱，交在黑暗坑中，等候审判。

既然上帝没有宽容犯了罪的天使，反而把他们丢在地狱里，囚禁在幽暗中等候审判；

既然神没有宽容犯了罪的天使，反而把他们丢在地狱里，囚禁在幽暗中等候审判；

即使天使犯了罪，上帝也没有容忍他们，而是把他们丢在地狱里，囚在幽暗的深坑等候审判。

要知道：既然神没有顾惜那些犯罪的天使，把他们扔进地狱，囚禁在幽暗的坑里，拘留到审判的时候；

夫上帝既不惜干罪之天使、投之暗府、付之幽坎、守以待鞫、

維昔天使陷罪、上帝不赦、拘攣於暗府、幽囚於狴犴、以待審判、

昔天使犯罪、天主亦未惜之、投於地獄、縛於幽暗中、以待審判、

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

God did not spare angels when they sinned. Instead, he sent them to hell. He chained them up in dark prisons. He will keep them there until he judges them.

更有不守本位、擅離本宅之天神、主亦永繫以鎖鍊、囚之幽獄、以待大審判日。

王又將謂左者曰：「被詛者流、其離我！當投諸不熄之烈火、蓋此原為魔鬼及其眾徒而備也。

天主以其聖子為我眾捨生、猶且不惜、尚何吝以一切萬有并賜於我耶？

又見一天神手執深壑之管籥、及一大鐵索、自天而降；執龍而縛之。龍者、即古昔之蛇、亦名妖魔沙殫。至是縛之千載、投之深壑、封而緘之、使於千載之內無得迷惑萬國、後當暫釋。

時天上發生大戰、彌厄爾率領所屬天神、出與龍戰；龍亦率其天神與之交綏。不克、從此天上不復有若輩立足之地。於是巨龍下墜；巨龍者、即古時、之蛇、名曰妖魔、沙殫、熒惑全世者是；彼與其天神、俱被逐至地。

於是惑眾之妖魔乃被投入硫火池中、與獸及偽先知朝暮受刑、永世靡已。

主曰：『曩者予親睹沙殫如閃電自天而隕。

彼大能大權之天神所不敢貿然控訴於主前者、

眾魔哀求耶穌、勿投諸不測之淵。

大呼曰：『天主子耶穌、我與爾何干、乃先期來苦我耶？』

作惡者、則出於自始作惡之魔鬼。而天主聖子之降世、正為掃蕩魔鬼之惡業也。

爾父非他、魔鬼是已！爾父之志、爾則承之。彼自始即為殺人之元兇、未曾須臾立足於真理之中、以彼心中不存真理故。惟誑語乃出其本性；彼為誑者、亦為誑者父。

揚聲呼曰：『至尊天主之子耶穌、我與爾何涉、叨賴天主、幸勿相苦。』

古時人欲橫流、天主亦不惜使洪水氾濫、僅有宣揚道義之諾厄及同伴七人得濟。

狂浪無鄉、長吐堪羞之沫；流星離宅、永歸漆黑之淵。

觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

蓋天主且不恤其原有之枝、更將何恤於爾？

天怒暢遂。降彼癘疫。
