因為認識了義的道路以後，背離那交託給他們的神聖誡命，對他們來說，倒不如不認識還好。

他们晓得义路，竟背弃了传给他们的圣命，倒不如不晓得为妙。

他们知道义路，竟背弃了传授给他们那神圣的诫命，倒不如不知道为妙。

他们明知道正路，却背弃了传给他们的神圣诫命，这样倒不如不知道的好。

既然认识了义路，竟又背弃传给他们的圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识好得多了。

蓋未識義路、較識之而背所受之聖誡猶愈也、

既識道矣、猶棄所受之聖命、孰若不識道義之為美、

既識義道、竟背所受之聖命、莫若不識之為美、

蓋與其知道而背命、孰若初未聞道之為愈乎？

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

Suppose they had not known the way of godliness. This would have been better than to know godliness and then turn away from it. The way of godliness is the sacred command passed on to them.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.

所以，那知道該行美善的事而不去行的，對他來說，這就是罪了。

原來，如果有人蒙過一次光照、嘗過屬天恩賜的滋味、曾經與聖靈有份、嘗過神美善的話語和將要來臨之世代的權能，卻背棄了真理，就不可能再次更新以至於悔改了。因為他們親自把神的兒子再次釘上十字架，公然羞辱他。

那知道主人的意思，卻沒有預備，也不照著主人的意思去做的奴僕，將會受很多鞭打；

因此，律法是神聖的，誡命也是神聖、公義、美善的。

耶穌對他們說：「如果你們是瞎眼的，就沒有罪了。但如今你們說『我們能看見』，所以你們的罪仍然存在。

如果我沒有來，也沒有教導他們，他們就沒有罪；但如今，他們的罪無可推諉了。

白髮是榮耀的冠冕，在公義的道路上必能得著。

因為你們知道，我們藉著主耶穌所傳給你們的是什麼吩咐。

因為約翰來到你們這裡指明義的道路，你們不相信他，而那些稅吏和妓女們卻相信了他。你們雖然看見了，後來還是沒有悔改去相信他。

他口中的話語充滿奸惡和欺詐，他不再有智慧，也不再行善。他在床上就圖謀作惡，定意行不善之道，不拒絕惡事。」

公義的路途上有生命，在它的道上沒有死亡。

至於那些偏行歪路的人，耶和華必把他們與作惡的人一同除去。願平安臨到以色列！

而你——迦百農啊，你將被高舉到天上嗎？不，你將下到陰間。因為在你中間行過的神蹟，如果行在所多瑪，它就會存留到今天。不過我告訴你們：在那審判的日子，所多瑪之地所受的，將要比你還容易受呢！」
