勝我者、吾為之奴、偽師從惡、則亦為惡之奴、反以自由許弟子、

以自由許人、而己為罪惡之奴、蓋勝人者、人即為其奴也、

以自由為號召、而自身則為腐敗之奴隸。蓋為邪惡所克者、即成邪惡之奴矣。

They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity— for“ people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”

They promise to give freedom to these new believers. But they themselves are slaves to sinful living. That’s because“ people are slaves to anything that controls them.”

耶穌回答：「我確確實實地告訴你們：所有犯罪的，就是罪的奴隸。

你們難道不知道嗎？你們把自己獻上做奴僕去順從誰，那麼，順從誰就是誰的奴僕：或做罪的奴僕，以至於死；或做順從的奴僕，以致稱義。感謝神！雖然你們過去是罪的奴僕，但現在卻從心裡順從了所傳給你們的教導內容，從罪中得了釋放，成為義的奴僕。因著你們肉體的軟弱，我就按照人的說法來講，那就是，你們從前怎樣把身體的各部分獻給汙穢和罪惡做奴僕，以致罪惡；現在也要照樣把你們身體的各部分獻給義做奴僕，以致分別為聖。原來，你們做罪的奴僕時，不受義的管束；那麼，在你們現在看為羞恥的那些事上，你們當時到底得了什麼果子呢？那些事的結局就是死。但如今，你們既從罪中得了釋放，成為神的奴僕，就得了果子，以致分別為聖，那結局就是永恆的生命。

弟兄們，你們蒙召是為了得自由，只是不可用這自由給肉體一個機會，而是要藉著愛彼此服事，

做為自由人，你們不可拿自由當做惡事的藉口，卻要做神的奴僕。

基督釋放了我們，使我們得自由。所以你們當站立得穩，不要再被奴役的軛所束縛。

其實，我們從前也是無知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各種欲望和享樂的奴僕，活在惡毒和嫉妒中，是可憎惡的，又彼此相恨。

禍哉！以法蓮酒徒的高傲冠冕——榮耀華美的將殘之花！它就在醉酒人肥沃之谷的山頂上。

所以，不要讓罪在你們會死的身體上掌權，使你們順從身體的私慾；也不要把你們身體的任何部分獻給罪，做不義的器具；相反，要像從死人中復活的人，把自己獻給神，並把身體的各部分做義的器具獻給神。這樣，罪就不能轄制你們了，因為你們不在律法之下，而在恩典之下。

這樣，那些被魔鬼擄去、隨從魔鬼意思的人，就能醒悟過來，脫離魔鬼的網羅。

原來，他們如果藉著認識我們的主、救主耶穌基督而逃脫這世界的汙穢，卻又被這些汙穢糾纏、制伏了，那麼，他們最後的情況就比先前更壞了；
