But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey— an animal without speech— who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

But a donkey corrected him for the wrong he did. Animals don’t speak. But the donkey spoke with a human voice. It tried to stop the prophet from doing a very dumb thing.

巴兰早晨起来，备了驴，就和摩押的官员一同去了。神因他去就怒气发作；耶和华的使者站在路中间敌对他。他骑着驴，有两个仆人跟随他。驴看见耶和华的使者站在路中间，手里有拔出来的刀，就离开了路，岔入田间。巴兰就打驴，要它回到路上。耶和华的使者站在葡萄园的窄路上，这边有墙，那边也有墙。驴看见耶和华的使者，就往墙挤去，把巴兰的脚挤到墙上；巴兰再打驴。耶和华的使者又往前去，站在狭窄的地方，那里左右都无路可转。驴看见耶和华的使者，就伏在巴兰底下。巴兰怒气发作，用杖打驴。耶和华使驴开口，对巴兰说：“我向你做了什么，你竟打我这三次呢？”巴兰对驴说：“因为你戏弄我，我恨不得手中有刀，现在就把你杀了。”驴对巴兰说：“我不是你从小直到今天所骑的驴吗？我平时有这样待过你吗？”巴兰说：“没有。”耶和华使巴兰的眼目明亮，他看见耶和华的使者站在路中间，手里有拔出来的刀；巴兰就低头俯伏下拜。耶和华的使者对他说：“你为什么这三次打你的驴呢？看哪，我出来敌对你，因为这路在我面前已经偏离了。驴看见我就从我面前回避了这三次；驴若没有回避我，我早把你杀了，留它存活。”

在各会堂，我屡次用刑强迫他们说亵渎的话，我非常厌恶他们，甚至追逼他们，直到外邦的城镇。”

保罗这样申诉时，非斯都大声说：“保罗，你疯了！你的学问太大，反使你疯了！”保罗说：“非斯都大人，我不是疯了，我说的乃是真实和清醒的话。

在日光之下发生的一切事中有一件祸患，就是众人的际遇都一样，并且世人的心充满了恶；活着的时候心里狂妄，后来就归死人那里去了。

我转念，一心要知道，要考察，要寻求智慧和万事的来由，要知道邪恶为愚昧，愚昧为狂妄。

若是你们在不义的钱财上不忠心，谁还把那真实的钱财托付你们呢？

降罚的日子近了，报应的时候已经来到。以色列必知道，先知愚昧，受灵感动的人狂妄，皆因你多多作恶，大怀怨恨。
