如今在這些事上，因你們不與他們一起跑進那同樣放蕩的洪流中，他們就感到奇怪，毀謗你們。

她怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待她，並照著她的行為加倍地報應她；你們要在她混合酒的杯子裡，加倍地混合給她喝。

他們的結局就是滅亡；他們的神就是自己的私慾；他們的榮耀在自己的羞恥之中；他們所思想的都是地上的事。

因為睡覺的人是在夜裡睡，醉酒的人是在夜裡醉。但我們既然屬於白晝，就讓我們謹慎，以信與愛做為護胸甲穿上，以救恩的盼望做為頭盔戴上。

這樣說來，你們聚集在一起，所吃的並不是主的晚餐，因為你們吃的時候，每個人都爭先吃自己的晚餐，甚至有人餓著，有人醉了。難道你們沒有家，可以在那裡吃喝嗎？還是你們輕視神的教會，羞辱那些沒有什麼的人呢？我要對你們怎麼說呢？要稱讚你們嗎？在這事上，我不稱讚你們。

為要給自己預備一個榮耀的教會，沒有汙漬、皺紋或任何這類的事，卻要她成為聖潔、毫無瑕疵。
