The commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua,“ Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did that.
Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he said,“ Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.”He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is none other than the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”
The LORD says this:“ I will return to Zion and live in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City; the mountain of the LORD of Armies will be called the Holy Mountain.”
They will not harm or destroy each other on my entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is filled with water.
I will bring them to my holy mountain and let them rejoice in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
