So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.

我的弟兄们，我本人也深信你们自己充满良善，有各种丰富的知识，也能彼此劝戒。但我更大胆写信给你们，是要在一些事上提醒你们，我因上帝所赐我的恩，

末了，我的弟兄们，你们要靠主喜乐。我把这些话再写给你们，对我并不困难，对你们却是妥当的。

这一切的事，你们虽然知道，我却仍要提醒你们：从前主只一次就救了他的百姓出埃及地，后来却把那些不信的灭绝了。

亲爱的，至于你们，要记得我们主耶稣基督的使徒从前所说的话。

我认为趁我还在这帐棚的时候，应该激发你们的记忆，

我简单地写了这信，托我所看为忠心的弟兄西拉交给你们，劝勉你们，又证明这恩是上帝真实的恩典；你们务要在这恩上站立得住。

亲爱的，我现在写给你们的是第二封信。在这两封信里，我都提醒你们，激发你们真诚的心，

我也要尽心竭力，使你们在我去世以后时常记念这些事。

亲爱的，我一直很迫切地想要写信给你们，论到我们同享的救恩，但我觉得有必要现在就写信劝你们，要为从前一次交付给圣徒的真道竭力奋斗。

所以，亲爱的，既然你们预先知道这事，就当防备，免得被恶人的错谬诱惑，从自己稳定的立场上坠落。

那赐一切恩典的上帝曾在基督里召了你们，得享他永远的荣耀，在你们暂受苦难之后，必要亲自成全你们，坚固你们，赐力量给你们，建立你们。

你们要追念往日；你们蒙了光照以后，忍受了许多痛苦的挣扎：

你们不要被种种怪异的教训勾引了去，因为人的心靠恩典得坚固才是好的，并不是靠饮食。那在饮食上用心的，从来没有得到益处。

为这缘故，我提醒你要把上帝藉着我按手所给你的恩赐再如火挑旺起来。

你若把这些事提醒弟兄们，就是基督耶稣的好执事，在信仰的话语和你向来所服从的正确教义上得到了栽培。

照着你们所领受的教导，在他里面生根建造，信心坚固，充满着感谢的心。

于是众教会信心越发坚固，人数天天增加。
