The whole house of Ahab will perish. I will cut off from Ahab every last male in Israel— slave or free.

The whole house of Ahab will die out. I will destroy every male in Israel who is related to Ahab. It does not matter whether they are slaves or free.

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel.

The entire family of Ahab must be wiped out. I will destroy every one of his male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel.

『因為永恆主見他人民的手力用盡、沒有剩下一人，連受束縛的帶得釋放的都沒剩下，就要為他人民行裁判，憐恤他的僕人，

因為永恆主看見以色列人所受的患難很苦：無論自主不自主的、都沒有了；也沒有幫助以色列人的。

到了撒瑪利亞，耶戶就把在撒瑪利亞屬亞哈家剩下的人都擊殺掉、殺到消滅，正如永恆主的話，他對以利亞所說過的。

永恆主說：「看吧，我必使災禍臨到你；必除滅你；在以色列中凡屬亞哈的男丁、無論自主不自主、我都要剪滅淨盡。我必使你的家像尼八的兒子耶羅波安的家，又像亞希雅的兒子巴沙的家，都因為你惹我發怒，又因為你使以色列人犯了罪的緣故。」

因此我必使災禍臨到耶羅波安的家，將以色列中屬耶羅波安的男丁、無論自主不自主、都剪滅掉，也必燒除耶羅波安的家，如同人燒除糞土、直到燒盡一樣。凡屬耶羅波安的人、死在城中的、狗必喫他；死在野外的、空中的飛鳥必喫他；因為永恆主已經說了。』」
