You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the Lord’s servants shed by Jezebel.

You must destroy the royal house of your master Ahab. I will pay them back for spilling the blood of my servants the prophets. I will also pay them back for the blood of all the Lord’ s servants that Jezebel spilled.

And you shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge on Jezebel the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord.

You are to destroy the family of Ahab, your master. In this way, I will avenge the murder of my prophets and all the Lord’s servants who were killed by Jezebel.

耶洗別接到消息後，就告訴亞哈說：「耶斯列人拿伯已經死了，你去佔他不肯賣給你的葡萄園吧。」

「列邦啊，你們當與祂的子民一同歡樂！因為祂要為自己的僕人報血仇，報應祂的仇敵，潔淨祂的土地和子民。」

從來沒有人像亞哈那樣受妻子耶洗別唆使，一心做耶和華視為惡的事。

耶和華說，『我必降禍給你，徹底毀滅你，剷除你家中所有的男子，不管是奴隸還是自由人。

伸冤在我，我必報應，到時候他們必站不住腳，他們遭禍的日子近了，他們的末日來了。』

耶戶抬頭望著窗口，喊道：「誰擁護我？誰？」有兩三個太監從窗口往外看他。耶戶說：「把她扔下來！」那幾個太監便把耶洗別扔下去，血濺在牆壁上和馬匹身上。耶戶駕車軋過她的身體，進入王宮，大吃大喝，然後吩咐部下說：「把那受咒詛的婦人埋了，她畢竟是王的女兒。」他們出去埋葬她，卻只找到她的頭骨、手掌和腳，便回去稟告耶戶。耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉祂僕人提斯比人以利亞說的話，『狗必在耶斯列的田間吃耶洗別的肉，耶洗別的屍體必像耶斯列田間的糞便，無人能認出那是耶洗別。』」

耶和華啊，你是伸冤的上帝；伸冤的上帝啊，求你彰顯你的榮光。審判世界的主啊，求你起來使驕傲人受到應得的報應。耶和華啊，惡人洋洋得意，要到何時呢？要到何時呢？他們大放厥詞，狂妄自大。耶和華啊，他們壓迫你的子民，苦害你的產業。他們謀害寡婦、外族人和孤兒，並說：「耶和華看不見，雅各的上帝不會知道。」

親愛的弟兄姊妹，不要私自報復，要讓上帝來審判，因為聖經上說：「主說，『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」

要知道掌權者是上帝差遣的，對行得正的人有益處。然而，你若作惡，就該懼怕，因為他必將你繩之以法。他是上帝的僕人，代表上帝秉公行義，懲奸罰惡。

上天啊，眾聖徒、眾使徒和眾先知啊，為她的下場歡樂吧！因為上帝已經向她施行報應，為你們伸冤了。」

因此，所有義人在地上所流的血，就是從義人亞伯的血，直到你們在聖所和祭壇之間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒加利亞的血，都要歸到你們身上。

羔羊揭開第五印的時候，我看到一個祭壇，祭壇下有許多靈魂，都是為傳揚上帝的道、為祂做見證而被殺的。他們大聲喊著說：「聖潔真實的主宰啊，還要等多久呢？為什麼你還不審判地上那些屠殺我們的人，為我們伸冤呢？」

難道上帝聽到祂揀選的人晝夜呼求，不替他們伸冤嗎？難道祂會一直耽延不理嗎？我告訴你們，祂必很快為他們伸冤。不過當人子來的時候，在世上找得到有信心的人嗎？」

因為祂的審判真實公義，祂懲罰了那用淫亂敗壞世界的大淫婦，為那些被她殺害的奴僕伸冤。」

我們知道上帝說過：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」祂又說：「主要審判祂的百姓。」
