約蘭一見耶戶、就說：『耶戶啊，平安麼？』耶戶說：『甚麼呀？你母親耶洗別的淫行和邪術這麼多、還有平安麼？』

约兰见耶户就说：“耶户啊，平安吗？”耶户说：“你母亲耶洗别的淫行邪术这样多，焉能平安呢？”

约兰见耶户就说：“耶户，平安吗？”耶户说：“你母亲耶洗别的淫行邪术这样多，怎么能平安呢？”

约兰见耶户就说：“耶户，平安吗？”耶户说：“你母亲耶洗别的淫行邪术这样多，怎么能平安呢？”

约兰问他：“耶户，你为平安而来吗？”耶户答道：“国中到处都是你母亲耶洗别的偶像和邪术，怎能平安呢？”

约兰看见耶户的时候，就说：“耶户，平安吗？”耶户说：“你的母亲耶洗别的淫行和邪术这么多，还有平安吗？”

約蘭見耶戶就說：「耶戶啊，平安嗎？」耶戶說：「你母親耶洗別的淫行邪術這樣多，焉能平安呢？」

約蘭看見耶戶的時候，就說：“耶戶，平安嗎？”耶戶說：“你的母親耶洗別的淫行和邪術這麼多，還有平安嗎？”

約蘭見耶戶、則曰、耶戶歟、安否、曰、爾母耶洗別、淫行巫術若是之多、焉得安乎、

約藍見耶戶、則曰耶戶、爾為平康而至乎。曰、王母耶洗別、狥私欲、拜偶像、從巫覡、若是之多、焉得平康乎。

約蘭見耶戶則曰、耶戶平安否、曰、爾母耶洗別之邪淫巫術、如是之多、焉能平安乎、

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Have you come in peace, Jehu?”“ How can there be peace,” Jehu replied,“ as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?”

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Have you come here in peace, Jehu?”“ Your mother Jezebel worships statues of gods,” Jehu replied.“ She also worships evil powers. The evil things she does have spread everywhere. As long as all of that goes on, how can there be peace?”

And when Joram saw Jehu, he said,“ Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace can there be, so long as the whorings and the sorceries of your mother Jezebel are so many?”

King Joram demanded,“ Do you come in peace, Jehu?” Jehu replied,“ How can there be peace as long as the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother, Jezebel, are all around us?”

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Do you come in peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace can there be as long as there is so much prostitution and sorcery from your mother Jezebel?”

When Joram saw Jehu, he said,“ Is your intention peace, Jehu?” And he answered,“ What‘ peace,’ so long as your mother Jezebel’s acts of prostitution and witchcraft are so many?”

Now it happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said,“ Is it peace, Jehu?” So he answered,“ What peace, as long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?”

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,“ Do you come in peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace can there be as long as there is so much prostitution and witchcraft from your mother Jezebel?”

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said,[ Is it] peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts[ are so] many?

When Jehoram saw Jehu, he asked,“ Is everything all right, Jehu?” He replied,“ How can everything be all right as long as your mother Jezebel promotes idolatry and pagan practices?”

When Joram saw Jehu, he said,“ Is it peace, Jehu?” He answered,“ What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?”

暗利的兒子亞哈行永恆主所看為壞的事，比他以前所有的王行的更壞。他犯了尼八的兒子耶羅波安所犯的罪、還以為輕，竟又娶了西頓王謁巴力的女兒耶洗別為妻子，去服事敬拜巴力；在他於撒瑪利亞所建造的巴力廟裏、他竟為巴力立起了一座祭壇。亞哈又立了亞舍拉神木；更加行惡來惹永恆主以色列之上帝的發怒，比他以前的以色列諸王更壞。

燈光決不能再照耀於你中間了；新郎新娘的聲音在你中間決不能再聽到了；因為你的商人曾經是地上的大人物；因為列國都曾在你的邪術中受了迷惑。』

乃是走以色列諸王的路，使猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民變節去服事別的神，像亞哈家使以色列人變了節一樣；你並且殺死了你父親家裏比你好的眾兄弟；

都因麗質豔姿的淫婦行邪術的老手淫行之繁多；她用她的淫行誘騙着列國，用她的邪術迷惑萬族之民。

因為列國都喝了她猛烈淫亂之酒了；地上的君王同她行淫；由於她荒淫的資權、地上的商人都得了財富了。』

只是從來沒有人像亞哈的；他出賣了他自己、去行永恆主所看為壞的事；王后耶洗別教唆了他，

於是她用亞哈的名義寫文書，將王的印章印上，把文書送給拿伯城裏的長老和顯貴人、那些和拿伯同住一城的人。文書上寫着說：『你們要宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民間的首位上，又叫兩個無賴子一類的人坐在拿伯對面，作見證告他說：「你曾經謗讟上帝和王」；隨即把他拉出去、拿石頭打他、打到他死去。』

耶洗別剪滅了永恆主眾神言人的時候，俄巴底將一百個神言人藏了，每五十人在一個洞裏，用食物和水供養他們。——

創造嘴脣的果子來：願平安福利，給遠處的人，也給近處的人；永恆主說：我並且要醫治他。惟獨惡人、好像翻騰的海；因不能平靜，其水就翻騰出髒泡沬和淤泥來。我的上帝說：『惡人並沒有平安福利。』

騎馬的就去迎接耶戶，說：『王這麼問說：「平安麼？」』耶戶說：『平安不平安、與你何干？你轉來跟着我吧！』守望人又報告說：『使者到了他們那裏，卻沒有回來。』

現在你要差遣人集合以色列人、和巴力的神言人四百五十個、以及亞舍拉的神言人四百個、都上迦密山去見我。』

不過我有一件要責備你的，就是你容讓那婦人耶洗別；她說自己是神言人，又教導又迷惑我的僕人們去行邪淫、變節拜偶像、喫祭偶像之物。我給了她時間、讓她悔改；她又不願意改悔她的淫亂。看吧，我必將她丟在病床上；那些同她行淫的人若不改悔她的行為，我也必將他們丟在大苦難中。我必以死亡擊殺她的兒女；眾教會就知道我是探索透人肺腑腎腸的；我必照你們的行為將各人所應得的報給你們。

亞哈將以利亞所行的一切事、和他怎樣用刀殺死眾神言人的事、都告訴了耶洗別。耶洗別就差遣使者去見以利亞說：『明天大約這時候、我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，願神明這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。』

那婦人披着紫袍和朱紅袍，用金子寶石珍珠為妝飾，手中執有金杯、滿盛着可憎之物、就是她淫亂之污穢。她的額上寫着名字、有象徵的奧祕：「大巴比倫、地上淫婦之母、可憎之物之母！」
