有人靠车，有人靠马，但我们要提到耶和华我们神的名。他们都屈身仆倒，我们却起来，立得正直。

王的心在耶和华手中，好像陇沟的水随意流转。

统兵的君王逃跑了，逃跑了；在家等候的妇女分受所夺的。

要救自己，如鹿脱离猎户的手，如鸟脱离捕鸟人的手。

靠马得救是枉然的；马也不能因力大救人。

四面的惊吓要使他害怕，并且追赶他的脚跟。

快跑的不能逃脱；有力的不能用力；刚勇的也不能自救。拿弓的不能站立；腿快的不能逃脱；骑马的也不能自救。到那日，勇士中最有胆量的，必赤身逃跑。”这是耶和华说的。

藉这两件不更改的事，神决不能说谎，好叫我们这逃往避难所、持定摆在我们前头指望的人可以大得勉励。

那时，在犹太的，应当逃到山上；在房上的，不要下来拿家里的东西；在田里的，也不要回去取衣裳。
