耶和华对摩西说：“她父亲若吐唾沫在她脸上，她岂不蒙羞七天吗？现在要把她在营外关锁七天，然后才可以领她进来。”

我们为何静坐不动呢？我们当聚集，进入坚固城，在那里静默不言；因为耶和华我们的神使我们静默不言，又将苦胆水给我们喝，都因我们得罪了耶和华。

那时王正与神人的仆人基哈西说：“请你将以利沙所行的一切大事告诉我。”

“身上有长大麻风灾病的，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬头散发，蒙着上唇，喊叫说：‘不洁净了！不洁净了！’灾病在他身上的日子，他便是不洁净；他既是不洁净，就要独居营外。”

我们若说，进城去吧！城里有饥荒，必死在那里；若在这里坐着不动，也必是死。来吧，我们去投降亚兰人的军队，他们若留我们的活命，就活着；若杀我们，就死了吧！”

亚兰王的元帅乃缦在他主人面前为尊为大，因耶和华曾藉他使亚兰人得胜；他又是大能的勇士，只是长了大麻风。

你和你的百姓为何要因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫死亡，正如耶和华论到不服侍巴比伦王的那国说的话呢？
