“你要吩咐以色列人，把所有患痲風病的，患漏症的，以及因接觸死人而不潔的，都送出營外；無論男女，你們都要送出去；你們要把他們送出營外，免得他們玷污自己的營，這營就是我居住的。”以色列人就這樣行了，把他們送出營外；耶和華怎樣吩咐摩西，以色列人就怎樣行了。

耶和華對摩西說：“如果她的父親吐唾沫在她臉上，她不是要蒙羞七天嗎？現在把她關在營外七天，然後才讓她回來。”

我們為甚麼坐著不動呢？你們要集合起來，我們要進入堅固的城裡去，在那裡滅亡吧！因為耶和華我們的神要我們滅亡，又把毒水給我們喝，因我們得罪了耶和華。

那時王正在和神人的僕人基哈西交談，說：“請你向我講述以利沙所作的一切大事。”

“身上患有痲風病的人，要撕裂自己的衣服，披頭散髮，遮蓋上唇喊叫：‘不潔淨！不潔淨！’在他患病的日子裡，他是不潔淨的；他既然不潔淨，就要獨居，住在營外。

我們如果說：‘我們進城去吧！’城裡正有饑荒，我們就要死在那裡。我們如果坐在這裡，也是要死。現在，讓我們去投降亞蘭人的軍隊吧；如果他們饒我們一命，我們就可以活著；如果他們要殺死我們，我們就死吧。”

亞蘭王的軍長乃縵在他的主人面前是一個大人物，很得王的賞識，因為耶和華曾藉他把勝利賜給亞蘭。這個人是個勇猛的戰士，可惜他是個痲風病人。

你和你的人民為甚麼要因刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫而死，正如耶和華論到不肯服事巴比倫王的國家所說的一樣呢？
