回答说：“不可击杀他们！就是你用刀用弓掳来的，岂可击杀他们吗？当在他们面前设摆饮食，使他们吃喝回到他们的主人那里。”

他说：“不可击杀！这些人岂是你用刀用弓掳来给你击杀的呢？当在他们面前摆设饮食给他们吃喝，让他们回到他们主人那里。”

以利沙答道：“不可杀他们。岂可杀从战场上抓来的俘虏呢？给他们吃的喝的，让他们回自己主人那里吧。”

以利沙说：“你不可击杀他们。你可以击杀你自己用刀用弓掳回来的人吗？你要在他们面前摆上食物和水，给他们吃喝，然后回到他们的主人那里去。”

“ Of course not!” Elisha replied.“ Do we kill prisoners of war? Give them food and drink and send them home again to their master.”

Elisha replied,“ Don’t kill them. Do you kill those you have captured with your sword or your bow? Set food and water in front of them so they can eat and drink and go to their master.”

But he answered,“ You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set bread and water before them, so that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.”

所以，“你的仇敌若饿了，就给他吃，若渴了，就给他喝；因为你这样行就是把炭火堆在他的头上。”你不可为恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

当那日，我必为我的民，与田野的走兽和空中的飞鸟，并地上的昆虫立约；又必在国中折断弓刀，止息争战，使他们安然躺卧。

只是我告诉你们，要爱你们的仇敌，为那逼迫你们的祷告。

你的仇敌若饿了，就给他饭吃；若渴了，就给他水喝；因为，你这样行就是把炭火堆在他的头上；耶和华也必赏赐你。

因为，我必不靠我的弓；我的刀也不能使我得胜。

我却要怜悯犹大家，使他们靠耶和华他们的神得救，不使他们靠弓、刀、争战、马匹，与马兵得救。”

我打发黄蜂飞在你们前面，将亚摩利人的二王从你们面前撵出，并不是用你的刀，也不是用你的弓。

以色列人掳了他们的弟兄，连妇人带儿女共有二十万，又掠了许多的财物，带到撒玛利亚去了。但那里有耶和华的一个先知，名叫俄德，出来迎接往撒玛利亚去的军兵，对他们说：“因为耶和华你们列祖的神恼怒犹大人，所以将他们交在你们手里，你们竟怒气冲天，大行杀戮。如今你们又有意强逼犹大人和耶路撒冷人作你们的奴婢，你们岂不也有得罪耶和华你们神的事吗？现在你们当听我说，要将掳来的弟兄释放回去，因为耶和华向你们已经大发烈怒。”于是，以法莲人的几个族长，就是约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利家、沙龙的儿子耶希西家、哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒，起来拦挡出兵回来的人，对他们说：“你们不可带进这被掳的人来！你们想要使我们得罪耶和华，加增我们的罪恶过犯？因为我们的罪过甚大，已经有烈怒临到以色列人了。”于是带兵器的人将掳来的人口和掠来的财物都留在众首领和会众的面前。以上提名的那些人就站起，使被掳的人前来；其中有赤身的，就从所掠的财物中拿出衣服和鞋来，给他们穿，又给他们吃喝，用膏抹他们；其中有软弱的，就使他们骑驴，送到棕树城耶利哥他们弟兄那里；随后就回撒玛利亚去了。

他们若以和睦的话回答你，给你开了城，城里所有的人都要给你效劳，服侍你；若不肯与你和好，反要与你打仗，你就要围困那城。耶和华你的神把城交付你手，你就要用刀杀尽这城的男丁。惟有妇女、孩子、牲畜，和城内一切的财物，你可以取为自己的掠物。耶和华你神把你仇敌的财物赐给你，你可以吃用。离你甚远的各城，不是这些国民的城，你都要这样待他。但这些国民的城，耶和华你神既赐你为业，其中凡有气息的，一个不可存留；
