Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy has not awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead. He laid Elisha’s walking stick on the boy’s face. But there wasn’t any sound. The boy didn’t move at all. So Gehazi went back to Elisha. He told him,“ The boy hasn’t awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him,“ The child has not awakened.”

Gehazi hurried on ahead and laid the staff on the child’s face, but nothing happened. There was no sign of life. He returned to meet Elisha and told him,“ The child is still dead.”

Gehazi went ahead of them and placed the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or sign of life, so he went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy didn’t wake up.”

And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he returned to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

耶稣讲了这些话，然后对他们说：“我们的朋友拉撒路睡了，我要去叫醒他。”

耶稣说了这些话，就大声呼唤：“拉撒路，出来！”那死了的人就出来了；手脚缠着布条，脸上包着头巾。耶稣对他们说：“解开他，让他走！”

扫罗就求问神：“我可以下去追赶非利士人吗？你会把他们交在以色列人手中吗？”那一天，神没有回应他。

因为使一切成为明显的，就是光。所以有话说：“醒过来！睡着的人哪，从死人中起来吧！基督就要光照你了！”

耶稣进去对他们说：“为什么慌乱哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。”

耶稣回答他们，说：“唉，这个不信的世代！我还要和你们在一起多久呢？我还要容忍你们多久呢？把孩子带到我这里来吧！”他们就把他带到耶稣面前来。邪灵一见耶稣，立刻使孩子剧烈地抽疯，倒在地上打滚，口吐白沫。耶稣问孩子的父亲：“这事发生在他身上有多久了？”他回答说：“从小就这样。邪灵经常把他扔进火里或水里，要害死他。但你如果能做什么，就求你怜悯我们，帮助我们！”耶稣对他说：“‘如果你能’？——对信的人，一切都能。”那孩子的父亲立刻喊着说：“我信！但我的不信之处，求你帮助！”耶稣看见众人都跑上来，就斥责那污灵，说：“你这聋哑的邪灵，我命令你：从他里面出来，不可再进去！”邪灵喊叫一声，使孩子剧烈地抽疯，就出来了。孩子变得像死人那样，所以许多人说：“他死了。”但是，耶稣握着他的手，扶他起来，他就站起来了。耶稣进了房子，他的门徒们就悄悄地问他：“我们为什么不能赶出那邪灵呢？”耶稣对他们说：“对这一类的邪灵，如果不藉着祷告和禁食，就不能赶出去。”

扫罗求问耶和华，耶和华却没有藉着梦，或乌陵，或先知回应他。

可是有一些四处游历的犹太驱魔师，向那些有邪灵附身的人，擅自称呼主耶稣的名，说：“我藉着保罗所传的耶稣，吩咐你们出来。”有一个名叫斯克瓦的犹太祭司长，他的七个儿子都在做这种事。邪灵回答他们，说：“耶稣我认识，保罗我也知道！但你们呢？你们是谁？”有邪灵附身的那个人就跳到他们身上，压制了所有的人，胜过了他们，以致他们赤着身带着伤，从那房子逃了出去。所有住在以弗所的犹太人和希腊人，都知道了这件事，恐惧就临到了他们每个人，主耶稣的名因此被尊为大。

我带他到你的门徒们那里，可是他们不能使他痊愈。”耶稣回答说：“唉，这个不信、歪曲的世代！我还要与你们在一起多久呢？我还要容忍你们多久呢？把孩子带到我这里来吧！”耶稣斥责那鬼魔，鬼魔就从孩子身上出来；从那一刻起，孩子就痊愈了。门徒们悄悄地前来问耶稣：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼魔呢？”耶稣回答说：“因为你们小信。我确实地告诉你们：如果你们有像一粒芥菜种子那样的信仰，就是对这座山说‘从这里移到那里！’它也将移开；而且在你们，将没有不可能的事。

睡在尘土中的众人必醒来：有的得永远的生命，有的蒙受羞辱，永远被憎恶。
