耶和华说：“你要把这人作为无儿无女、一生失败的人记录下来，因为他的后裔中无一人能成功地继承大卫的宝座，统治犹大。”

“我凭我的永恒起誓，巴比伦王立他做王，他却弃约背誓，他必死在巴比伦。敌人筑起围攻的土垒和高台大肆杀戮的时候，法老虽然兵强马壮，人多势众，仍无法帮他抗敌。他起誓降服，却弃约背誓，所以绝不能逃避后果。因此，主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，他既藐视与我所立的誓言，背弃与我所定的约，我必惩罚他。我要撒开网罗抓住他，把他带到巴比伦，审判他对我不忠的罪。

用铁链捆绑他们的君王，用铁铐锁住他们的首领，

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒起兵攻打他，用铜链把他锁着带到巴比伦。

你必逃不出巴比伦王的手心，你必在他面前受审，被带到巴比伦。

有些人坐在黑暗里，在死亡的阴影下，被铁链捆绑，痛苦不堪。因为他们违背上帝的话，藐视至高者的旨意，

君王必悲哀，首领必惊恐，百姓的手都必颤抖。我必按他们的恶行对付他们，使他们受到应得的审判。这样，他们就知道我是耶和华。”

以致眼前的一切令你们发疯。
