Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, handed himself over to Nebuchadnezzar. Jehoiachin’s mother did the same thing. And so did all his attendants, nobles and officials. The king of Babylon took Jehoiachin away as his prisoner. It was in the eighth year of Nebuchadnezzar’s rule.

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、虜猶大王約雅敬子耶哥尼雅、及猶大牧伯、與藝匠鐵工、自耶路撒冷至巴比倫後、耶和華以無花果二筐示我、置於耶和華殿前、

尼布甲尼撒所虜之猶大人如左、其七年、虜三千有二十三人、

歲首尼布甲尼撒遣人攜約雅斤、及耶和華室之珍器、至巴比倫、立約雅斤叔西底家、為猶大及耶路撒冷王、○

猶大王約雅斤被虜後三十七年、巴比倫王以未米羅達即位元年、十二月二十七日、拔猶大王約雅斤出獄、

耶哥尼雅王與太后、及宦豎、猶大耶路撒冷牧伯、藝匠鐵工、去耶路撒冷後、先知耶利米自耶路撒冷、致書於俘囚尚存之長老、暨祭可先知庶民、凡尼布甲尼撒、自耶路撒冷虜至巴比倫而尚存者、

猶大王約西亞子約雅敬四年、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒元年、耶利米所得論猶大民之言、

謂悖逆之家云、斯事之旨、爾不知之乎、宜告之曰、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其君王牧伯、攜至巴比倫、

耶利米曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、如爾出降於巴比倫王之牧伯、則可得生、斯邑不焚於火、爾及舉家、亦可生存、如爾不出降於巴比倫王之牧伯、是邑必付於迦勒底人手、焚之以火、爾亦不得脫於其手、

猶大王約雅斤被虜後三十七年、巴比倫王以未米羅達即位元年、十二月二十五日、拔猶大王約雅斤出獄、

耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、猶大王約雅敬子哥尼亞、雖為我右手之印、我必脫爾、付於索爾命、及爾所畏者之手、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、與迦勒底人之手也、我必驅爾、及生爾之母、入於他邦、非爾生長之區、必死於彼、厥心所慕之地、不得返焉、此哥尼亞、乃為見棄之毀器、無人悅之乎、彼與其裔、何為被逐、投於未識之地耶、斯土、斯土、斯土、其聽耶和華言、耶和華曰、宜錄斯人無嗣、畢生不獲亨通、其裔無有利達、坐大衛之位、而治猶大也、
