“你们去，为了我、为了人民、为了犹大全国，因着所发现的这书卷上的话求问耶和华，因为耶和华向我们所发的怒气极大；这是因着我们的祖先没有听从这律法书上的话，没有照着所有写给我们的去行。”

「你們去為我、為民、為猶大眾人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的言語，沒有遵着書上所吩咐我們的去行，耶和華就向我們大發烈怒。」

“你們去，為了我、為了人民、為了猶大全國，因著所發現的這書卷上的話求問耶和華，因為耶和華向我們所發的怒氣極大；這是因著我們的祖先沒有聽從這律法書上的話，沒有照著所有寫給我們的去行。”

『你們去，為我、為人民、為猶大眾人、將所發現這一卷書上的話尋問永恆主；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的話，沒有遵行、照這一切所寫關於我們的事，以致永恆主向我們大發烈怒。』

汝其往哉、為我為民、為猶大眾、以此書之言、詢於耶和華、因我列祖不聽此書之言、不遵所載諭我儕者而行、故耶和華向我、發怒甚烈、

爾曹往哉、為我及猶大全族之民、諮諏耶和華、蓋我列祖、未從此書所言、干耶和華震怒。

爾往、為我、為民、為猶大全族、因此書之言問於主、我列祖不聽從此書之言、不遵此書所載一切諭我之命而行、主之烈怒、必向我如火之烈、

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”

“ Go. Ask the Lord for advice. Ask him about what is written in this book that has been found. Do it for me. Also do it for the people and the whole nation of Judah. The Lord is very angry with us. That’s because our people who have lived before us didn’t obey the words of this book. They didn’t do everything written there about us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

“ Go to the Temple and speak to the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the Lord’s great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do.”

“ Go and inquire of the LORD for me, for the people, and for all Judah about the words in this book that has been found. For great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for the wrath of the Lord that burns against us is great, because our fathers did not listen to the words of this book, to act in accordance with everything that is written regarding us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me, the people, and all Judah about the instruction in this book that has been found. For great is the Lord’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great[ is] the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go, seek an oracle from the LORD for me and the people– for all Judah. Find out about the words of this scroll that has been discovered. For the LORD’s fury has been ignited against us, because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this scroll by doing all that it instructs us to do.”

“ Go inquire of Yahweh for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is Yahweh’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”

遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，萬國必說：『耶和華為甚麼向此地這樣做呢？為甚麼要大發烈怒呢？』人必說：『這是因為這地的人離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的上帝領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約，去事奉別神，敬拜他們所不認識的神明，這是耶和華未曾允許的。所以耶和華的怒氣向這地發作，將這書上所寫的一切詛咒都降在這地上。耶和華在怒氣、憤怒、大惱恨中將他們從本地拔出來，扔到別的地上，像今日一樣。』

那時，我的怒氣必向他們發作，我必離棄他們，轉臉不顧他們，以致他們被吞滅，並有許多的禍患災難臨到他們。在那日，人必說：『這些禍患臨到我，豈不是因為我的上帝不在我中間嗎？』在那日，因人偏向別神所行的一切惡事，我必定轉臉不顧。

沒有聽從耶和華－我們上帝的話，沒有遵行他藉僕人眾先知向我們頒佈的律法。

西底家王差人提他出來，在自己的宮內私下問他說：「有甚麼話從耶和華臨到沒有？」耶利米說：「有！」又說：「你必被交在巴比倫王手中。」

我們定要照我們口中所說的一切話去做，向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，按着我們與我們祖先、君王、官長在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上素常所做的一樣；因為那時我們得以吃飽、享福樂，並未遇見災禍。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華－你的上帝是忌邪的上帝。恨我的，我必懲罰他們的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

你們行惡比你們祖先更甚，看哪，各人隨從自己頑梗的惡心行事，不聽從我。

耶和華與敬畏他的人親密，他要將自己的約指示他們。

這樣，掃羅為了他的不忠死了；因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的話，又因他求問招魂的婦人，不求問耶和華，所以耶和華使他被殺，把王國給了耶西的兒子大衛。

耶和華的話臨到耶利米。那時，西底家王差派瑪基雅的兒子巴施戶珥和瑪西雅的兒子西番雅祭司到他那裏去，說：「請你為我們求問耶和華，因為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒前來攻擊我們；或者耶和華照他一切奇妙的作為待我們，使巴比倫王離開我們而去。」

因為他們遭憤怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

你，惟獨你是可畏的！你的怒氣一發，誰能在你面前站得住呢？

約沙法說：「這裏不是有耶和華的先知嗎？我們可以託他求問耶和華。」以色列王的一個大臣回答說：「這裏有沙法的兒子以利沙，就是從前服事以利亞的。」

以前沒有律法的時候，我是活的；但是誡命來到，罪活起來，

約沙法說：「這裏還有沒有耶和華的先知，我們好求問他呢？」以色列王對約沙法說：「還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我真的很恨他，因為他對我說預言，從不說吉言，總是說凶信。」約沙法說：「請王不要這麼說。」

「人子啊，這些人在心中設立偶像，把陷自己於罪的絆腳石放在面前，我真的能讓他們求問嗎？所以你要告訴他們，對他們說：『主耶和華如此說：以色列家的人，凡在心中設立偶像，把陷自己於罪的絆腳石放在面前，卻來到先知那裏的，我－耶和華在他所求的事上，必因他拜許多偶像向他施行報應，

我們犯罪作惡，行惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命典章，沒有聽從你僕人眾先知奉你的名向我們君王、官長、祖先和這地所有百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，但我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，並你所趕到各國的以色列眾人，不論遠近，因為背叛了你，臉上蒙羞，正如今日一樣。耶和華啊，我們和我們的君王、官長、祖先因得罪了你，臉上就都蒙羞。

在你一切所行的路上都要認定他，他必使你的道路平直。

那日的四分之一，他們站在自己的地方念耶和華－他們上帝的律法書，又在那日的四分之一認罪，敬拜耶和華－他們的上帝。

因為律法是惹動憤怒的，哪裏沒有律法，哪裏就沒有過犯。

「你們去，以所發現這書上的話，為我、為以色列和猶大倖存的人求問耶和華；因為我們的祖先沒有遵守耶和華的話，沒有照這書上所記的一切去做，耶和華的烈怒就倒在我們身上。」

主耶和華不會做任何事情，除非先將奧祕指示他的僕人眾先知。

因我們的祖先犯了罪，行耶和華－我們上帝眼中看為惡的事，離棄他，轉臉背向耶和華的居所。

第七年五月初十，有以色列的幾個長老前來求問耶和華，坐在我面前。耶和華的話臨到我，說：「人子啊，你要告訴以色列的長老，對他們說，主耶和華如此說：你們來是為求問我嗎？主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我必不讓你們求問。

他發憤恨，誰能立得住呢？他發烈怒，誰能當得起呢？他的憤怒如火傾洩而出，磐石因他崩裂。

他們清清楚楚地念上帝的律法書，講明意思，使百姓明白所念的。尼希米省長、以斯拉祭司文士，和教導百姓的利未人對眾百姓說：「今日是耶和華－你們上帝的聖日，不要悲哀，也不要哭泣。」這是因為眾百姓聽見律法書上的話都哭了。

我們與我們的祖宗一同犯罪，偏邪行惡。

所以，凡血肉之軀沒有一個能因律法的行為而在上帝面前稱義，因為律法本是要人認識罪。

我們的祖先犯罪，而今他們不在了，我們卻擔當他們的罪孽。

但是，你們要作行道的人，不要只作聽道的人，自己欺騙自己。因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，注視後，就離開，立刻忘了自己的相貌如何。惟有查看那完美、使人自由的律法，並且時常遵守的，他不是聽了就忘，而是切實行出來，這樣的人在所行的事上必然蒙福。

你們要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華－你們的上帝與你們所立的約，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，就是耶和華－你上帝所禁止的，因為耶和華－你的上帝是吞滅的火，是忌邪的上帝。「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，若行為敗壞，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，行耶和華－你上帝眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒，我今日呼天喚地向你們作見證，你們在過約旦河得為業的地上必迅速滅亡！你們在那地的日子必不長久，必全然滅絕。耶和華必將你們分散在萬民中；在耶和華領你們到的列國中，你們剩下的人丁稀少。
