But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.

人若知道該行善事，卻不去行，這就是他的罪了。

我們的神啊，現在，我們還可以說甚麼呢？只能說：我們又離棄了你的誡命，就是你曾藉著你的僕人眾先知所吩咐的。你說：你們進去要得為業之地是污穢的，充滿了當地民族的污穢，他們可憎的事使這地從這邊到那邊都充滿了他們的不潔。

“可是他們竟悖逆，背叛你，把你的律法丟在背後，殺害那些控告他們，要他們歸向你的先知，犯了褻瀆的大罪。

耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷，你殺害先知，又用石頭把奉派到你那裡的人打死。我多次想招聚你的兒女，好像母雞招聚小雞到翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。

惡人到處橫行，邪惡在世人中被高舉。

你不但行她們所行的，作她們所作的可憎之事，而且你還以那些事為小，你一切所行的比她們更壞。

然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導和引誘我的眾僕人行淫亂，吃祭過偶像的食物。

他們卻戲弄神的使者，藐視他的話，譏誚他的先知，以致耶和華的忿怒臨到他的子民身上，直到無法挽救。

你警告他們，要他們轉向你的律法；但他們狂妄自大，不聽從你的誡命，犯罪干犯你的典章。人應遵行這些典章，按照它們生活，他們卻固執地扭轉肩頭，硬著頸項，不肯聽從。你多年容忍他們，你的靈藉著你的眾先知勸戒他們，他們還是不側耳而聽，所以你把他們交在各地的民族手中。

如果我沒有來，也沒有對他們講過甚麼，他們就沒有罪；但現在他們的罪是無可推諉的了。

撒瑪利亞所犯的罪還不及你所犯的一半；你所行的可憎之事比她更多，以致你的姊妹因你所行的一切可憎之事而顯為義。你既然使你的姊妹較顯為義，你就要承擔自己的恥辱；因為你所犯的罪比她們所犯的更可憎，她們比你更顯為義。你使你的姊妹較顯為義，所以你就要慚愧，承擔自己的恥辱了。

沒有聽從你的僕人眾先知，他們奉你的名向我們的君王、領袖、列祖和國中所有的人民說話。

我們沒有聽從耶和華我們神的話，沒有遵行他藉著他的僕人眾先知向我們頒布的律法。以色列眾人都違背了你的律法，偏離了你，不聽從你的話，因此，神的僕人摩西的律法書上所記載的咒詛和誓言，都傾倒在我們身上；我們實在得罪了神。

我是耶和華你的神，曾把你從埃及地領出來。你要大大張口，我就要給它充滿。

以法蓮受欺壓，被審判壓碎；因為他們樂意隨從人的命令。
