From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him.“ Get out of here, baldy!” they said.“ Get out of here, baldy!”

Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him.“ Go away, baldy!” they chanted.“ Go away, baldy!”

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

Now he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the road, some young boys came out from the city and ridiculed him and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!”

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

And he went up from thence unto Beth- el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth young lads out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead.

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and harassed him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

愿你堵住撒谎之人的口，他们骄傲自大，狂妄地攻击义人。

教导孩童走正路，他到老也不偏离。

他征询臣僚的意见后，就铸造了两个金牛犊，对民众说：“以色列人啊，你们上耶路撒冷敬拜太麻烦了。这两个金牛犊就是领你们出埃及的神明。”他把一个金牛犊安置在伯特利，另一个安置在但。这使民众陷入罪中，因为他们开始到但去拜金牛犊。耶罗波安又在高岗上修建神庙，任命各样的人做祭司，他们并非利未人。耶罗波安规定每年八月十五日为节期，好像犹大的节期一样。他自己在伯特利的祭坛上向金牛犊献祭烧香，又派神庙的祭司在献祭中司职。

不可再在伯特利说预言，这里是王的圣所，是国庙。”

他们是愚昧无名之辈，被人用鞭子赶出境外。“如今，他们竟唱歌讽刺我，我成了他们的笑柄。他们厌恶我，不愿靠近我，任意朝我脸上吐唾沫。因为上帝苦待我，使我毫无力量，他们才在我面前肆无忌惮。这些无赖从右边攻击我，迫使我逃亡，他们展开攻势要毁灭我。他们截断我的路，想方设法害我，无人相助。他们冲破防线，从废墟中向我袭来。恐惧笼罩着我，我的尊荣随风而去，我的荣华如云消散。“如今我的生命将尽，痛苦的日子抓住我。夜间我的骨头刺痛，如被啃噬，无休无止。上帝猛力抓住我的衣服，紧紧地揪住我的衣领。祂把我扔进淤泥，使我如尘埃灰烬。“上帝啊！我向你呼求，你不回应；我站起来，你也不理睬。你变得对我残酷无情，用你大能的手迫害我，把我提到风中，让我被风吹走，被暴风抛来抛去。我知道你要带我去死亡之地，那是你为众生所定的归宿。“诚然，不幸的人在困境中呼救，无人会伸手加害他。难道我不曾为受苦的人哭泣，我的心不曾为穷困者悲伤吗？我盼望幸福，来的却是灾祸；我期待光明，来的却是黑暗。我心里一直烦乱不安，苦难的日子迎面袭来。我皮肤发黑，不是因为日晒，我在会众中站起来呼救。我成了豺狼的兄弟，驼鸟的伙伴。我的皮肤发黑、脱落，我的骨头如被烤焦。我的琴唱出哀乐，我的箫奏出悲鸣。

“以色列人啊，你们去伯特利犯罪吧，去吉甲增添罪恶吧！要每天早晨献上祭物，每三天奉上你们的十分之一。

耶和华说：“你们这些巫婆的儿子，奸夫和妓女的孩子，上前来吧！你们在嘲笑谁，向谁吐舌头呢？你们难道不是悖逆的儿女、诡诈的子孙吗？

我追讨以色列人的罪时，要摧毁伯特利的祭坛，将祭坛的角砍落在地。

所以，你要抛开心中的烦恼和肉体的痛苦，因为青春年华转瞬即逝。

我遭遇患难时，他们却聚在一起幸灾乐祸，合伙诽谤我。素不相识的人也群起攻击我，不住地毁谤我。

有些人遭受戏弄和鞭打，还有些人遭受捆锁和囚禁。

唉！你们这罪恶的民族，恶贯满盈的百姓，作恶的子孙，败坏的儿女！你们背弃耶和华，藐视以色列的圣者，与祂疏远。

孩童的举动是否纯良，都显明他的本性。

伯特利啊，你罪大恶极，必将遭遇同样的下场。那日来临时，以色列的王将被彻底消灭。

百姓将彼此欺凌，邻居互相争斗，少年目无尊长，卑贱者欺尊犯上。

“你这声称把圣殿拆毁又在三天内重建的人啊，救救自己吧！你要是上帝的儿子，就从十字架上下来吧！”祭司长、律法教师和长老也嘲讽说：“祂救了别人，却救不了自己！祂要是以色列的王，就从十字架上跳下来吧！我们就信祂。祂说信靠上帝，如果上帝喜悦祂，就让上帝来救祂吧！因为祂自称是上帝的儿子。”

“虽然以色列如同妓女，对我不忠，但不要使犹大犯罪。不要到吉甲去，不要到伯·亚文去，不要凭永活的耶和华起誓。

不要去伯特利求问，不要进入吉甲，也不要前往别示巴，因为吉甲人必被掳去，伯特利也必化为乌有。”

当时，那按着人的意愿生的儿子迫害那靠着圣灵生的儿子，现在的情况也和当时一样。

孩子拾柴，父亲点火，妇人揉面做饼向天后献祭，向别的神明奠酒，惹我发怒。

撒拉见埃及人夏甲给亚伯拉罕生的儿子以实玛利嘲笑以撒，

愚昧缠住孩童的心，教棍能远远赶走它。

撒玛利亚的居民要因伯·亚文的牛犊偶像而恐惧颤抖；祭拜它的人要哀伤，供奉它的祭司要痛哭，因为它的荣耀将离开他们。

用荆棘编成冠冕，戴在祂头上，又拿一根苇秆放在祂右手里，跪在祂跟前戏弄祂，说：“犹太人的王万岁！”然后向祂吐唾沫，拿过苇秆打祂的头。他们戏弄完了，就脱去祂的袍子，给祂穿上原来的衣服，把祂押出去钉十字架。

他们边走边谈，忽然有火马拉的火车把他们二人隔开，以利亚乘着旋风升上了天。
