But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.”“ What can I do to help you?” Elisha asked.“ Tell me, what do you have in the house?”“ Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied.And Elisha said,“ Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors.Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”

When they arrived at the Jordan, they began cutting down trees.But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river.“ Oh, sir!” he cried.“ It was a borrowed ax!”“ Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.“ Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it.

Yet the Spirit rested upon them as well, so they prophesied there in the camp.A young man ran and reported to Moses,“ Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ assistant since his youth, protested,“ Moses, my master, make them stop!”But Moses replied,“ Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them all!”
