Elisha saw this and cried out,“ My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah,“ My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two.

And Elisha saw it and he cried,“ My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it and cried out,“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” And as they disappeared from sight, Elisha tore his clothes in distress.

以利沙得了致命的病，以色列王约阿施下来看他，伏在他脸上哭泣，说：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车和骑兵啊！”

亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚就差人去见希西家，说：“耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说，你因亚述王西拿基立的事向我祈求，

除了从天降下的人子，没有人升过天。

众天使离开他们，升天去了。牧羊人彼此说：“我们往伯利恒去，看看所成的事，就是主所告诉我们的。”

其实，我们在这帐篷里的人劳苦叹息，并不是愿意脱下地上的帐篷，而是愿意穿上天上的居所，好使这必死的被生命吞灭了。

〔主耶稣和他们说完了话以后，被接到天上，坐在上帝的右边。

正祝福的时候，他离开他们，被带到天上去了。

所以有话说：“他升上高天的时候，掳掠了俘虏，将各样的恩赐赏给人。”

义人死亡，无人放在心上；虔诚的人被接去，无人理解；义人被接去，以免祸患。行为正直的人进入平安，得以在床上安歇。

谁升天又降下来？谁聚风在手掌中？谁包水在衣服里？谁立定地的四极？他名叫什么？他儿子名叫什么？你知道吗？

希西家向耶和华祷告说：

约伯就起来，撕裂外袍，剃了头，俯伏在地敬拜，说：“我赤身出于母胎，也必赤身归回；赏赐的是耶和华，收取的也是耶和华。耶和华的名是应当称颂的。”

有些虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他大大哀哭。

说了这些话，他们正看的时候，他被接上升，有一朵云彩从他们眼前把他接去。

我们在这帐篷里叹息，渴望得到那从天上来的居所，好像穿上衣服；

两位先知听见有大声音从天上对他们说：“上这里来。”他们就驾着云上了天，他们的仇敌也看见了。

因正直人的祝福，城必升高；因邪恶人的口，它必倾覆。

或许耶和华—你的上帝听见亚述将军的话，就是他主人亚述王差他来辱骂永生上帝的话，耶和华—你的上帝就斥责所听见的这些话。求你为幸存的余民扬声祷告。’”

不是无辜的人，上帝尚且要搭救他；他必因你手中的清洁得蒙拯救。”

我就说，智慧胜过勇力；然而那贫穷人的智慧被人藐视，他的话也无人听从。宁可听智慧人安静的话语，不听掌权者在愚昧人中的喊声。智慧胜过打仗的兵器；但一个罪人能败坏许多善事。

智慧使拥有智慧的人比城中十个官长更有能力。

说：‘保罗，不要害怕，你必定站在凯撒面前；并且上帝已把安全赐给与你同船的人了。’
