我要摧毀你們的丘壇，砍掉你們的香壇，把你們的屍首扔在你們偶像的殘骸上。我的心也必厭惡你們，

你們佔領的國家所事奉他們眾神明的地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在一切的青翠樹下，你們要徹底毀壞；要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的亞舍拉，砍斷他們神明的雕刻偶像，並要從那地方除去他們的名。

當那些日子，百姓仍在丘壇獻祭，因為還沒有為耶和華的名建殿。所羅門愛耶和華，遵行他父親大衛的律例，只是還在丘壇獻祭燒香。

約沙法效法他父親亞撒所行的道，不偏離左右，行耶和華眼中看為正的事。只是丘壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裏獻祭燒香。

城裏的人清早起來，看哪，巴力的壇被拆毀，壇旁的亞舍拉被砍下，第二頭公牛獻在築好的壇上，

你們卻要這樣處置他們：拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍斷他們的亞舍拉，用火焚燒他們雕刻的偶像。

從國中除去男的廟妓，又除掉他祖先所造的一切偶像。他甚至廢了他祖母瑪迦太后的位，因瑪迦造了可憎的亞舍拉。亞撒砍下她的偶像，在汲淪溪邊燒了，只是丘壇還沒有廢去。亞撒一生向耶和華存純正的心。

那夜，耶和華對基甸說：「你要把你父親的公牛，就是那七歲的第二頭公牛取來，並拆毀你父親為巴力築的壇，砍下壇旁的亞舍拉，

你不可跪拜事奉他們的神明，也不可隨從他們的習俗，卻要徹底廢除，完全打碎他們的柱像。

你們若對我說：我們倚靠耶和華－我們的上帝，希西家豈不是將上帝的丘壇和祭壇廢去，並且吩咐猶大和耶路撒冷的人說：你們當在耶路撒冷這壇前敬拜嗎？

只是丘壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在丘壇獻祭燒香。

摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必須照樣被舉起來，要使一切信他的人都得永生。

亞哈斯王吩咐烏利亞祭司說：「早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，國內眾百姓的燔祭、素祭、澆酒祭都要燒在大壇上。燔祭牲和其他祭牲的血全都要灑在這壇上。至於銅壇，我要作求問之用。」

然而你還有善行，因你從國中除掉亞舍拉，立定心意尋求上帝。」

王吩咐希勒家大祭司和副祭司，以及把守殿門的，把那些為巴力和亞舍拉，以及天上萬象所造的器皿，都從耶和華殿裏搬出來，在耶路撒冷外汲淪的田間燒了，把灰拿到伯特利去。

以丘壇惹他發怒，以雕刻的偶像使他忌恨。
