In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria and deported the Israelites to Assyria. He settled them in Halah, in Gozan on the Habor River and in the towns of the Medes.

Finally, the king of Assyria captured Samaria. It was in the ninth year of Hoshea. The king of Assyria took the Israelites away from their own land. He sent them off to Assyria. He made some of them live in Halah. He made others live in Gozan on the Habor River. And he made others live in the towns of the Medes.

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria, and he carried the Israelites away to Assyria and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

Finally, in the ninth year of King Hoshea’s reign, Samaria fell, and the people of Israel were exiled to Assyria. They were settled in colonies in Halah, along the banks of the Habor River in Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

因此，以色列的神激動了亞述王普勒的心，就是亞述王提革拉．毘尼色的心，他就把流本支派、迦得支派和瑪拿西半個支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博和哈拉，以及歌散河邊，他們的後裔直到今日還在那裡。

撒瑪利亞必承擔自己罪的刑罰，因為他背叛了他的神。他們必倒在刀下。他們的嬰孩被摔死，他們的孕婦必被剖開肚腹。”（本節在《馬索拉文本》為14:1）

耶和華必使你分散在萬民中，從地的這邊到地的那邊；在那裡你要事奉你和你的列祖不認識的別的神，就是木頭和石頭做的神。

所以耶和華向這地大發烈怒，把這書上所寫的一切咒詛都降在這地上；於是耶和華在烈怒、忿怒和大怒中，把他們從他們的地土拔出來，丟在別的地方，像今天一樣。’

看哪！我要激動瑪代人來攻擊他們。瑪代人不重視銀子，也不喜愛金子。

耶和華必把你和你所立統治你的君王，領到你和你的列祖都不認識的國那裡去；在那裡你必事奉別的神，就是木頭石頭所做的神。

過了三年，他們就攻取了撒瑪利亞。希西家在位第六年，就是以色列王何細亞在位第九年，撒瑪利亞被攻取了。亞述王把以色列人擄到亞述去，把他們安置在哈臘、哈博河和歌散河，以及瑪代人的城裡；

我被指示去看一個慘酷的異象：那行詭詐的仍然行詭詐，那行破壞的仍然行破壞。以攔哪，上去吧！瑪代啊，圍攻吧！我要使一切歎息止住。

我必使你們被擄，流亡到大馬士革以外。這是耶和華說的，萬軍的神就是他的名。

我要使地荒涼，連住在那裡的仇敵也驚奇。我要把你們分散在萬國中，我又拔出刀來追趕你們；你們的地成為荒涼，你們的城市變成荒場。

你們要在萬國中滅亡；仇敵之地必吞滅你們。

“你們生子生孫，在那地住久了的時候，如果你們敗壞自己，製造偶像，製造任何神像的形象，行耶和華你的神看為惡的事，惹他發怒，我今日就呼天喚地向你們作證，你們必在過約旦河取得為業的地上迅速滅亡；你們必不能在那地長久生存，必全被消滅。耶和華必使你們分散在萬民中；在耶和華要領你們所到的萬國中，你們剩下的人數必不多。在那裡你們必事奉人手所做的神，就是用木頭石頭做成的，不能看、不能聽、不能吃、不能聞的神。

我今日鄭重地告訴你們，你們必要滅亡；在你過約旦河，進去得為業的地上，你的年日必不長久。

耶和華必擊打以色列人，他們就擺動，像蘆葦在水中擺動一樣。他要把以色列人從他賜給他們列祖的這塊美地上拔出來，把他們分散在幼發拉底河那邊，因為他們做了亞舍拉，惹耶和華發怒。為了耶羅波安所犯的罪，又為了他使以色列人所犯的罪，耶和華必丟棄以色列人。”

我祖先所消滅的民族，就是歌散人、哈蘭人、利色人和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，他們的神可曾解救他們嗎？

我列祖所毀滅的國，有歌撒、哈蘭、利色和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，這些國的神曾拯救她們嗎？哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王，現在都在哪裡呢？”

耶和華說：“給他起名叫羅．阿米（“羅‧阿米”意即“非我民”）；因為你們不是我的子民，我也不是你們的神。

‘毘勒斯’（“毘勒斯”即“烏法珥新”的單數式）就是你的國要分裂，歸給瑪代人和波斯人。”

後來，歌瑪又懷孕，生了一個女兒。耶和華對何西阿說：“給她起名叫羅．路哈瑪（“羅‧路哈瑪”意即“不蒙憐恤”）；因為我必不再憐恤以色列家，我決不赦免他們。
