因此百姓一聽見角、號、琴、瑟、三角琴和各樣樂器的聲音，各方、各國、各族的人就都俯伏，拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

連先知帶祭司都是褻瀆的，就是在我殿中，我也看見他們的惡行。這是耶和華說的。

我現在是要得人的心，還是要得神的心呢？難道我在討人的喜歡嗎？我若仍舊想討人的喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

以法蓮因喜愛遵從荒謬的命令，就受欺壓，在審判中被壓碎。

亞撒利雅祭司率領八十名勇敢的耶和華的祭司，跟隨他進去。他們阻止烏西雅王，對他說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你的事，而是亞倫子孫的事，他們是分別為聖來燒香的祭司。你出聖殿吧！因為你犯了罪，耶和華神必不使你得尊榮。」

祭司的嘴唇當守護知識，人也當從他口中尋求訓誨，因為他是萬軍之耶和華的使者。你們卻偏離正道，使許多人在這訓誨上絆跌。你們破壞了我與利未人所立的約。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。所以我使你們被眾百姓藐視，看為卑賤；因你們不遵守我的道，在律法上看人的情面。」
