諸百夫長遵祭司耶何耶大命、各守安息日、所當入與所當出者、俱至祭司所。

自率百夫長、劊役、趨承者、及斯土之民、衛王、自耶和華殿、由趨承者之門、至於王宮、以踐國位。

耶何耶大在耶和華及王與民間立約、使民奉事耶和華、又在王與民間立約。

相約一心一意、宗事列祖之上帝耶和華、

王立於臺上、與耶和華約、一心一意、宗事耶和華、守其禁令、法度禮儀、遵約書所載、使耶路撒冷民、便雅憫族、無不聽從、咸遵列祖上帝之約。

我指爾上帝耶和華而誓、無論何國、王遣人索爾、若云、不在者、則令民發誓、曰、求爾不得。

我欲與以色列族之上帝耶和華約、望息震怒。

是日約書亞與民立約、設法度禮儀於示劍。○

越七年、耶何耶大志存恢復、與百夫長耶羅罕子亞薩哩亞、約哈難子以實馬利、阿伯子亞薩哩亞、亞大雅子馬西雅、色哩子以利沙法約、普告猶大諸邑、集利未人、與以色列族中最著者、至耶路撒冷、會眾在上帝殿、與王約、祭司告眾曰、王子當繼位、應耶和華許大闢子孫之言。值安息日、爾曹祭司、及利未人入此者、當以三分之一司閽、三分之一守王子室、三分之一在穌耳門、民必在耶和華殿院。惟祭司、與供役之利未人、潔己可入耶和華殿、其餘不入、民必扞衛耶和華殿。利未人各執器械、環侍王子、出入擁護、凡越班而入者、殺無赦。利未人與猶大族、遵祭司耶何耶大命、安息日當入者入、當出者亦留不歸、祭司取上帝殿所藏大闢之干戈、予諸百夫長、使民各執器械、立於王子四旁、自殿左至殿右、環祭壇及聖所。遂扶王子出、戴王冕、執律法之書、立為王、耶何耶大及其子沐之以膏、曰、願王千歲、亞大利聞百姓踴躍歡呼之聲、則至耶和華殿、民所叢集之處。見王立於臺及門、又見群臣與吹角者侍於王側、鳴角謳歌、操樂器、斯土之民歡然欣喜、乃裂其衣、呼曰爾黨其謀叛乎、爾黨其謀叛乎。祭司耶何耶大、命諸統轄軍旅之百夫長、曰、在耶和華殿勿殺是婦、當曳出班列之外、有從之者殺無赦。遂曳婦出、至王宮之馬道、而殺焉。耶何耶大與王及民約、使民為耶和華民。民往毀巴力殿、摧其祭壇、破其偶像、殺其祭司馬擔於壇前。昔大闢立利未人、及祭司之班列、在耶和華殿、欣喜、謳歌、燔祭、循摩西例、今耶何耶大法而為之、使閽人守殿門、不潔者不許入、自率百夫長、有能之士、方伯及國人、衛王、自耶和華殿、由崇門、入王宮、以踐國位。亞大利既殺、民咸欣喜、共享平康。

從同宗世職、發誓立盟、必遵從上帝僕摩西所傳之律例、守我上帝耶和華誡命、禮儀法度、

眾言必將反之、不敢取利、遵命以行。我使祭司命眾發誓、必踐其言。

二人立約、耶和華為證、大闢居林、約拿單歸。

殿司與吏、往取使徒、然不敢強、懼民石擊也、

祭司、殿司、祭司諸長、聞此疑焉、不知將若何、

其同宗能供役事於上帝之殿、凡一千七百六十人。

王立於臺、在耶和華前立約、一心一志、從事耶和華、守其禁令、法度禮儀、遵約書所載、民咸樂從。

約瑟使以色列族發誓、云、上帝必眷顧爾、爾當攜我骨出於是邦。
